In those days me and my queen fell deeply in love. As a result we tried for a baby. The first month went great. We were optimistic that having a baby would go well. Love was a new and exciting thing for me. It was illogical how madly in love I was with her.
The second month we were less optimistic. I started to think about it deeply. How would such a thing work here? This is the afterlife; how could a new soul spawn in. The third month there were signs of pregnancy. Somehow her stomach grew bigger and bigger by the month. By the fifth month it was clear that there was a baby inside her.
This woman was the light of my day, she was the sun that illuminated the night sky. I could not live without her; and she could not live without me. I loved her with every part of my body. Never before or after did I ever feel the same about someone.
The six month came. The day started as any other day. She woke me up from vomiting. I went over to her to comfort her in any way I could. Then after the vomiting we would sit on our balcony watching the sun rise. That was the last time I've felt happy. Kasim barged in a couple minutes later
“Do I hear you two have conceived a baby? Wonderful news!”
“Yes it is indeed wonderful news Kasim, I am progressing quite nicely”
“Well there is no doubt in my mind that this baby will be a blessing, not a curse.”
He walked back out. Then that's when it happened.
My Queen felt an awful sensation in her. She hurried to the bathroom. She screamed and screamed. The entire floor could most definitely hear her. Ten minutes passed and the screaming stopped. I then heard the sound of her falling down to the floor. Terrible thoughts rushed to my head, could she be dead? I did not know. As soon as I knocked down the door I could see that she was indeed not dead, but a harrowed expression was on her face. Her eyes were locked on to the toilet. I looked over and saw an awful sight. A tiny pitch black creature floated in the toilet water. It had only a mouth and eyes. The iris was pure white, yet the pupils were pitch black. The creature had a giant smile across its face.
My Queen uttered the words “That's our baby, my king.”
“What? That thing cannot be my baby.”
“There's nothing you can say to disprove its existence.”
What kind of thing had I made? It looked like the devil incarnate.
“Now king, this does not mean I love this thing. If we are gonna be free of Kasim we must turn this to our favor”
“In what way my darling?”
“This child has the power to overturn everything.”
As she said black Good started bubbling up inside the toilet. Perhaps it was boiling, but I had no time to figure out what was happening. I quickly rushed my Queen and I out of the bathroom and locked it.
For a few seconds we could take a breather, not for long unfortunately. Soon she started gasping for air, as if she was choking. That same black goo coming out of her mouth. Then her eyes popped out from the pressure of the black goo. Every hole in her body was emitting the black goo.
The door to the bathroom popped open from the goo. Then once all the goo came out from the bathroom it swallowed my Queen, taking her and the goo back into the toilet. The toilet burst open from the pressure. What a horrible sight this was.
I had lost my Queen.
In the middle of the floor was the child, still pitch black. My Queen told me this was how to get rid of Kasim, but I don't understand why I should. This baby is what is left of her…I will love it. The baby opened its eyes, still with a grin over its face.
I dropped to the ground holding my baby. Not knowing what it would become of it.
