//Lynn's POV//

"Here we are " Alex said as we walked out of the airport. "This is where we make our dreams come true!" I exclaimed and hugged Alexa. "C'mon ladies let's go settle in" Brian exclaimed as we walked down the street to the find the hotel where we would be staying.

"Hi we're here for the battle the bands" I said to the front desk clerk. "Name" she asked. "Lyndsey Gunn, lead singer of Pvris" I said. "Here's your room key" she said and gave us two," meeting is in the ballroom at four" she said.

We grabbed our bags and walked up to the elevator. "Ready to see some ladies" Brian said as we stepped onto the floor.

We found our room and opened it.

There were two large beds on either sides.

"Alright guys you're sharing, and Alexa and I will share" I said. "Oh yeah everybody ships Brilex" Alexa said and laughed. "Stay on your side" Brian said to Alex. "Little spoon big spoon" Alex said. "Fuck off loser" Brian said and laughed.

After we unpacked we walked towards the lobby and the down to the venue.

There were a few people there, it was only three o'clock. "Eye candy everywhere" Alex said and looked around.

Once four rolled around a tall man in a dark grey blazer and denim skinny jeans stood on the stage. "My name is William Widlestin, and Im the head of the download contest, sponsored by Hopeless records" he said in a British accent," I hope you all came prepared because at six you will preform your acoustic version of a song, we will eliminate some people tonight so don't mess up" William announced and then walked off.

"What song are we doing?" Brian asked. "You?" Alexa asked. "Bye the pretty reckless?" Alex asked. "Yes" Alexa said. "do you think you can do it?" Brian asked me. I took a deep breath and went through the lyrics in my head. "Yes" I said. "Alright let's get a couple rehearsals in before we preform" Alexa said and we got up.

After practicing for an hour and a half we went back to our room to get ready.

I changed into a white strapless romper. I slid a black lace kimono that had the bottom go down a little past my knees. I pulled my hair into a messy bun and tied a black lace chocker around my neck. I slid on a pair of black army boots and started to work on my makeup.

I added foundation, mascara, liquid eyeliner and blood red lipstick.

I slid on my bracelets and silver rings and sat down to wait for the guys.

Alexa was wearing a black long sleeve high-low dress. The sleeves and the part that covered her chest and collar bones was covered with a see through black material. Her hair was pulled into a side braid and she was wearing red doc martens. For her makeup she was wearing foundation, dark eye shadow that made her stormy grey eyes pop and she was wearing dark brown lipstick.

"Woah you guys look fricken goth" Alex exclaimed. Alex and Brian were sitting this one out since Alexa was the only one playing guitar and I was singing. "Tying to fit with the song/artist theme" I explained. "Still" Alex said. "Whatever losers" Alexa said and we walked out.

"Holy shit" I said as I saw the stage. They had built an outdoor stage and the seats in the Audience were already taken. "Full house" Brian said. "Let's do this" Alexa said and patted my back.

"Pvris" we chanted and through our hands in the air.

"Let's conquer this world" I said and we walked out backstage where we would wait until we were announced.

"I like your dress" a tall guy with pitch black hair, minus his fringe that was bright red. "Thanks, its a romper" I said. "I'm Alec, lead singer of mindless games" he said and stretched out his hand. "Lynn lead singer of Pvris" I said and shook his hand. "Another female band" Alec stated. "What's that suppose to mean?" I asked. "Nothing bad, its just that there's a lot of female fronted bands around" Alec explained. "Same with male fronted bands, in the end it all comes down to who actually has talent and has what it takes" I said and smirked. "That's true," Alec said and laughed. "Whats song are you preforming?" I asked. "Scene four by sleeping with sirens, you?" Alec asked. "You by the pretty reckless" I said. "Alright places!" The stage manager announced.

We all walked out to our designated area.

"Welcome to Hopeless records band search" William announced to the crowd," up first is Never lose your flames," William said and a male fronted band went on.

An hour later we were called on stage. "Now presenting Pvris" William announced.

"Look another female fronted band, why do they even bother" I heard a guy said. I just glared at him and walked on stage with Alexa.

"Long Live The Queen performing You" The MC said.

Alexa and I walked on stage and sat on the stools that stood next to each other. Alexa started strumming the first chords while I held the mic and took a deep breath.

La la la la" I sang and Alexa strummed the last chords. "Thank you" I said and we walked off stage.

"Thank you Pvris" the MC said. "Now let's see what bands will be leaving tonight" William said and pulled out a piece of paper. "Those five bands are...Never lose your flames, Fierce, Capture the throne, Naptime with Mermaids, and Lost in Wonderland" William announced.

"We made it past the first round" I said as I collapsed on the bed. "Let's go out to celebrate" Alex's suggested. "I gotta call Luis" I said. "Fine but if you change your mind we'll be at the nearest club" Alex said and they walked out.

I picked up my phone and dialed Luis' number.

"Hey its Luis, I can't come to the phone at the moment, so please leave your name and phone and I'll get back to you as soon as possible"

"Hey Luis, its me Lynn. You're probably already sleeping. I just wanted to let you know that we made it past the first round. Only fifteen bands left. I hope you had a great day, I know I did. Well just wanted to let you know that I miss and that I love you. I'll see you in a week. Bye Luis"

I hung up and took a shower. I changed into a black Osiris T-shirt with a pair of grey spandex with the brand Pink on the waist band. I dried my hair and pulled into a messy bun.

I grabbed my phone and sat out on the balcony.

Every five minutes I would check my phone hoping Luis had returned my call.

I hated being away from Luis, but I needed to chase after my future. This is what I wanted all my life.
