I’m sorry for the words unsaid,
For silences that lingered, spread.
For actions taken, thoughtless, blind,
And all the care I left behind.

I’m sorry for the times I failed,
For ships of trust I left unsailed.
For promises I broke in fear,
For distance when I should be near.

I hold the weight of what’s been done,
And battles lost when love was won.
Forgive me, please, and let me mend,
To make amends and be your friend.
