Chapter 23: Rescue

Approaching footsteps sent you deeper into the cave as the walls echoed with the slightest step. She was close as she chuckled in a sinister way. You found a new place to hide as you tried to push a boulder that could cover the entrance. As you shoved it some dirt moved and a blue glow got your attention you crawl to it and see a little blue crystal lodged in the rock wall. You dig it out and hold it. This wasn't a normal crystal this had an unnatural glow you decided to use it as a flashlight so you could preserve your phone battery for as long as you could. The crystal wasn't very bright but it formed a small dim glow. You then see another crystal as you kept digging and then you shoved through the rock wall which wasn't very studied as you fell through and landed on your hands and knees you look around to see a huge cavern with tons of the same strange crystals. You couldn't hear the sounds of her walking closer. You sighed a little relieved you checked your phone to see if you had a signal, two bars showed up as you called Smokescreen back. The ring was slow and took forever before he picked up sounding frantic.

"I'm tracing your phone it's faint but I know where you are. I'm 10 minutes away. Are you in a safe spot? Can she find you?" You could hear his loud motor through the phone.

"I'm in some wide-open area with all these glowing blue crystals."

"Energon? I'll have to tell Optimus and the others so we can get it."

"What's that?" You asked looking at the shard in your hand.

"It's how us Cybortronians work. Signals weak I'll be there soon hold on Y/n." He hung up as you felt nervous you wanted to stay on the call since it would at least comfort you. You sat on a rock and waited this would be a long 10 minutes.

Back outside Breakdown was trying to cut free of Arachnid's web.

You heard something as you ducked down behind some larger Energon crystals.

"Ah, an untouched Energon mine. Suprised Megatron hasn't found it. Oh well, I've been needing some for myself lately. I'll be sure to take some." She said in a smug tone you stayed silent as she traced around looking around.

"Where are you, little human? You couldn't have gone far-seeing as this is the end of the cave. Now be good and come out and I won't hurt you...not yet at least." She looked behind some rocks as you flinched when her steps came closer. Everything fell silent for a moment as you peeked around and didn't see her then a hand wraps around you causing you to scream.

"Gotcha." She smirked as you groaned struggling to get free.

"Let me go!" You banged on her digits.

"Ah, ah. If I let you go that's a long drop down and I don't think Breakdown would be very pleased. He's outside restrained by my web so he won't be escaping anytime soon." He began to walk out of the cavern when loud steps approach.

"You were saying." You smirked knowing it had to be Breakdown.

"Bitch." She hisses. A laser shot at her as she dodged it.

"You where saying?" You gave her a smug look as she growled.

"I'll kill you fleshling!"

"Arachnid!" Thundering foot steps approached as you look and saw the big brute himself charging at her.

"How did you escape! Gahhh!" She yelled jumping out of his way.

She landed and turned around Breakdown slide behind her and swung with his hammer knocking her by surprise she groaned falling to the ground you screamed as her fingers let go. You landed in safe servos meeting Breakdowns face.
