"Thanks, Smoke." He opens the door as you sat in the seat for a moment before hopping out his haloform appeared as he cleared his throat.

"Are you gonna be okay? I can stay if you want company." He asked as you nodded to yourself. He turned into his full human form and followed you inside.

"My aunt's gone again for a work trip so we have the house to ourselves." You said kicking your shoes off not caring where they landed in the meantime.

He followed you into the kitchen as you opened the fridge looking for cold water. You were dehydrated and hungry from being borderline trapped while running from Arachnid. Smokescreen sat at the table as he watched you chug your drink.

"You have a few scraps on your elbows and legs." He pointed as you shrugged.

"Oh, I really didn't know I had been hurt at all." You put threw the empty bottle in the trash.

"I want to look you over and patch you up if you don't mind." He stated as you nodded some and led him to the bathroom,

"The first med kit is under the sink." You grabbed it and sat down on a stole opening the little box.

He sat on the edge of the bathtub and grabbed your left arm looking it over you had a cut on your forearm that wasn't bleeding just scratched up pretty good. Your knees were both bruised as well. There was another small cut on your cheek. He took some peroxide and a cotton ball and wiped your wounds down. He cupped your cheek as he wiped the other side he caught himself staring a little too hard. You glanced and locked eyes. He turned red as you grabbed his hand and smiled.

"You're fine." You smiled some as he blushed some.

"I'm sorry I'm trying really hard not to be flirty and all with you because everything that happened is still fresh and you've told me how you felt before. I..I.. you're just so pretty...I can't help but look." He said putting bandaids over your scraps. Your face felt hot as he placed a bandaid on your cheek. Your heart raced you really didn't know what to do at the moment. Your head was so clouded with all the drama lately and you were still worried about that bot that attacked you. Breakdown was also on your mind. For once someone wasn't at the top of your brain's list of ways to make your day harder. But right now in this room with this man, you felt safe and had no stress. Without hesitation, you just leaned forward and gave him doe eyes. He gulped some but his gaze never left. Just The two of you locked in on each other without any words being said the space between your faces closed. For a second his eyes were wide as a planet before his eyelids slowly closed. After a few seconds, you pulled back with a smile.

"What was that for?" He was shocked and confused.

"Just felt right I guess...look I've always liked you and had a soft spot for you like I said before my feelings weren't confused because we've done this before it was just wrong then..now it doesn't matter." In your head, you had somehow made peace with your emotions, and yelling at Knockout felt great you weren't going to deny. Like ten tons were lifted off your chest. You knew you would probably never be able to fix your relationship with the red mech. But at least the air was cleared and the truth was in his helm.

He paused and looked at you for a moment before speaking. "But I caused your relationship to fall apart. I caused all of this bull shit with you, me, and Knockout. I mean you were mad at me not long ago and I know we've been fixing our friendship but I wasn't expecting us to ever go back to that level with each other. I mean don't get me wrong I've always loved kissing you and man I've been waiting on that... Maybe I just don't process human emotions as much as I thought I did and I know a lot about earth and human beings. But your relationships are so deep, one little thing can cause a super nova-sized problem. I thought I caused something of the sorts for you."

"Smokescreen, I'm not mad honestly. I've moved on from what happened and things are at least somewhat on the table with Knockout at least we got to talk to him." You smiled at the boy as he blushed.

In a way maybe this is how you move on from Knockout, because if you ever were to get back with him you'd have to for sure ditch the Autobots and that may have been easier said beforehand. Before you got closer to them. Knockout would never trust you and if he's gonna have a stick up his ass towards you there's no point in having hope. You didn't want to deal with it. But the silver lining here is Smokescreen. He trusted you and has never tried to say things to hurt you or try to attack you. While yes Knockout had his reasons that were logical on his part it was still messed up. Him name-calling you and being a dick made you realize his attitude is a real turn-off. He's had explosive moments before like that party you went to when you first met and he almost killed Vince. You turned a blind eye before but maybe he was more dangerous and hot-tempered than you remembered. Smokescreen was fun-loving and gentle and would never try to hurt you. The only thing he's done was be a home wrecker to a relationship in a confusing situation. You liked both of them still and Knockout will always have your heart but maybe it was time to let him go since he's moved on it seemed.

"Smoke...Thank you for everything really and for standing up for me." You hugged him as he squeezed you back.

"Don't mention it." His com beeped as he was receiving a call.

"Hey, what's up?"

"I need you to report back to base. I got an Energon reading from those caves we saved Breakdown at. Optimus is sending everyone, we need all hands on deck to collect as much energon as we can get." Ratchet said as Smokescreen sighed.

"Oh, yeah I forgot to tell you (Y/n) already found it. It's a whole cavern it's huge." He said as Ratchet said a few last things before Smokescreen looked to you.

"Well, duty calls I suppose." He said getting up as you put the medical kit up and lead him out of the bathroom.

"Be safe I'll see you whenever you're free." You smile as he grabbed you by the waist and pulled you close to him before kissing you again. You felt him smirk a more cocky side you hadn't seen in a while showing.

"I will. See ya love." He waved as he turned back into alt mode and his halo form disappeared. You watched him drive off before closing the door and standing there for a moment. You smiled at least today hasn't been all hell in a handbasket. You walked back upstairs to change out of the slightly dirt-covered clothes. You had stripped down to your undies as your phone rang.

'Shit..'
