The Beholder

The Beholder Chapter 3

        I dialed Sarah's number fast and waited until she picked up, "Hey Sarah, Kathrine. I found my Guardian. Yes I know, but the thing is she is a girl and I was wondering that in my studies, I remember a prophecy that has yet to be fulfilled. Yes I memorized it," I paused, "The person who beholds the silver and gold writing first will have a woman Guardian. In the future The Beholder will have a mate is also a Beholder the first two in time. The Beholder with the girl Guardian have to travel to the ends of the world to defeat the Makina once and for all." Makina means the greatest Demon ever or to put it simply the Devil, "Her mate must protect the child..."

        "Is that all it sounds unfinished?" Sarah asked.

        "Yes that is all. The sheet of paper was ripped after that." I said, "So what do you think it means? I just found out Theo found my Guardian -who is Rose by the way- and trained her."

        "I only know the prophecy that I found out when I was The Beholder. 'The one who wears the mark of the silver and gold writing will fall in love with the other Beholder or the world won't be the same again.' That;s all I know I hope it helped kiddo. Listen I have to go. I got a date tomorrow and I need my sleep. Bye." and with that Sarah got off the phone.

        "Well that helps." I muttered to myself. Well everything can wait till tomorrow, right now I just want to sleep. I said good night to Maya and headed off to bed. When I opened my bedroom door to a 12 year old boy, in the other six grade class at my school, standing in the middle of my room looking very confused.

        "Um... who the hell are you, and what are you doing in my bedroom?" I hissed at him.

        "I am Jace McGhee and I followed the whispers of the Lost Souls all the way here, they told me to come." Jace said somewhat casually.

        I must have been standing there with my mouth hanging open because he smiled, "I see you are shocked that I know this right?" He said again.

        "Yeah. How do you know this?" I said. I motioned for him to sit down -just being polite- I know he expects me to sit down also but I don't.

        "Well I know because the Lost Souls have been training me for years. I know about the prophecies that talk about us. I know how we are supposed to fall in love. All though I don't think that would happen withing a few days, but what happens happens." Jace said.

        I guess I am gaping at him again 'cause he smirked, "Sorry I startled you. I didn't have a trainer, since no one knew about me. so -I didn't mean to sneak up on you- I thought I would be noisy when I came through the window."

        "Why didn't you come through the front door like a normal mundane?"

        "Well the is a Ineva outside your front door." Jace said, Ineva is invisible demon sneaky creatures. That is when we heard a scream.

        "Oh no Maya!" I said frightfully. I grabbed The Beholders Possession and flipped to the page where it has a spell to reveal all things invisible. "Reveal what is hiding to my sight for me to fight fairly." I said five times. After five times Jace joined in saying it five more times and I felt the power leave me and go down the stairs. I signaled for him to stop and be quite. Then I got my sword out. I went to my closet and pushed my clothes aside and pressing the password into a keypad that is there, and motioned for Jace to follow me.

        I got him a sword off my weapons shelf and got my gloves and mask -the mask is for the toxic gas once you incinerate the demon body ( I put an extra mask and gloves in my pocket for Maya and gave Jace a mask and gloves).
