Eloise walked into the building that was hosting the tournament, she watched as everyone was dressed in their karate Gis, warming up, chatting amongst their groups even some sizing up their competition already.
Eloise stood in between hawk and Devon scanning through the teams that were lined up ready to go, seeing Cobra Kai walk in standing directly across from them fixing their belts the last member to walk in was Tory.
"What the fuck is Tory doing" hawk leaned towards Eloise whispering "I don't know but it can't be good" Eloise glanced towards Robby to see his face has disbelief all over it
The announcer voice was heard making everyone focus on him "Welcome competitors, senseis, sponsors, and esteemed guest to Barcelona! This years home of the worlds greatest karate tournament, the sekai taikai" the entire room was filled with cheers "the sekai taikai boasts a rich and proud history. And if you are here it's because you embody all that the sekai taikai stands for"
Eloise looked away from the announcer feeling as if eyes were on her she scanned the room once again everybody eyes were on the announcer focused closely on everything he said, just one pair of eyes were on hers.
"Yo are you listening" hawk nudged her Eloise nodded before turning back to the announcer "captains, step forward and tie on your headbands"
All the leaders stepped forward putting on their headbands "team events begin tomorrow, but today it's about enjoying our host city and making new friends or enemy's. We have a field trip arranged for our competitors and for our Sensai a cocktail mixer"
Eloise waited in the lobby with Devon and Sam "I can't believe she's on their team" Sam said getting visibly upset "I mean can we blame her?" Devon and sam turned to Eloise "yes" they both shouted "I mean think about it her mom just died and she just wanted to do this one thing to make her proud we weren't gonna let her come so she had to find her own way" "Still low blow"
Eloise, stood with Devon and Sam watching the boys argue over who got to share rooms and complaining about their farts
"Thank god we aren't boys" Devon laughed "yea but we still have to decide who's sharing a bed" devon elbowed Eloise side grabbing her attention "hm maybe you could bunk with him" Eloise looked over to see the boy from earlier staring at her again "omg I literally caught him staring at me earlier too" the boy noticing he had been caught looked away "you see I don't think he'd mind" Devon said laughing,
"You okay Sam?" Eloise watched her zone out "how could Tory go back to cobra Kai I thought things had changed"
"Woah so you're the famous miyagi-Do, we have heard about you but I do not know why you do not look like much" the boys from cobra Kai came over sizing up hawk and Miguel "yeah? You'll see better when you step on the mat tomorrow" Robby held hawk back pushing him away from the group "come on guys it's not worth it" "yea they're just any other dojo here"
Tory walked by us Robby hot on her tail shouting at her to 'hold up'
