Eloise hung out around the building not wanting to head back to the hotel only to come back a few hours later for another tournament
Luckily the time flew and by the time she realized everyone was already back getting ready for the last competition of the day
"We have now entered the elimination phase of the sekai taikai the dojos who do not win tonight will be heading home" everyone was listening intently to the announcer "the previous rounds have determined your current ranking the number 1 team will face the number 16 team the number 2 team will face number 15" Eloise head turned towards the board counting which team would go against hers "that means at number 12 we're facing number 5" Devon said
"Oh great I heard they started a fight with some locals at the beach they're always looking for a brawl" Eloise turned her heard to see the team they were already pushing and shoving within themselves
"Now for the rules of the event fighters will again face off on a platform" a platform started lowering from the air "this platform but this time two fighters from each dojo are allowed at one time" the buzzer blared meaning it was time to start
Iron dragons went up first vs another team that Eloise didn't even bother getting to know the name of
Axel and Zara took them down effortlessly like they had done with all the other teams when they had defeated the entire team the iron dragons were advanced to the next round
"What was this dude made in a lab" Eloise hit the back of hawk head "I mean no offense Eloise" "he's like a mix between the winter solider and Frankensteins monster" Sam turned back defeneding Axel as well "don't call him a monster you don't know him or what he deals with" hawk and demitri look at Sam confused but didn't say nothing "exactly so shut the hell up before I fight both of you like you're the enemy"
Eloise faced forward again looking up at Axel who had his eyes on her before he got down the platform
Tory and yoon went up next beating their opponent silly Tory even managed to break off a teeth
"Wow impressive performance by Tory nichols of cobra Kai they advance to the next round" the entire crowd started cheering and chanting for Tory "next on the platform Dublin thunder versus miyagi-Do"
Sam and Robby went up first but Robby was easily distracted getting kicked off the platform
"Eloise were gonna need you to go up make up extra points that Robby lost" Eloise nodded running up not wanting to leave Sam fighting alone for to long
Eloise stood in guard, eyes fixed and focused on their opponent. Suddenly, the opponent threw a direct punch towards Eloise face.
She reacted swiftly, blocking the attack with a rising block and countering with a reverse punch to the opponent's abdomen. The strike was precise and powerful, causing the opponent to step back.
Without giving them time to recover, Eloise advanced with a front kick hitting hard in the opponent's stomach. The opponent, staggering, tried to throw a low kick, but Eloise anticipated it and blocked with a low block
Seizing the opening, Eloise pivoted on their front foot and unleashed a roundhouse kick that connected cleanly with the opponent's head, knocking them off the platform
The dojo erupted in applause as Eloise was able to knock off her opponent
The next fighter had joined giving Eloise a run for her money
The opponent made the first move, a swift roundhouse kick aimed at eloise head. Eloise blocked it with a forearm, countering with a quick jab to his ribs. The opponent twisted his body, evading the punch, and retaliated with a powerful sidekick to the midsection. The impact echoed through the dojo, and eloise staggered back, gasping for air.
The entire crowd could see with every punch and kick the opponent had thrown at Eloise, Axel was getting more and more worked up
Not giving Eloise a chance to recover, her opponent launched into a flurry of punches and kicks, each strike precise and controlled. Eloise tried to block and dodge, but her opponent speed and skill were overwhelming. With a final spinning back kick, Eloise opponent sent her crashing to the mat. Her fight was over, and the dojo erupted in applause.
Eloise felt disappointed in herself she quickly composed herself walking back to her team
"Good effort Eloise you almost had them" Johnny said Robby let Eloise lean on him seeing she wasn't fully recovered "your boyfriend almost turned into a bull" Eloise let out a dry laugh before focusing on Miguel who was completely destroying the competition
"Yess" Sam cheered "let's gooo Miguel" when Miguel had knocked off both the boys winning a spot in the final challenge all of his team had ran up to congratulate him before doing a group bow to the audience
Back at the hotel Sam and Eloise were wondering the halls looking for their dad since no one had seen him since earlier and they were beginning to get worried
"Dad?" Eloise looked at Sam before looking straight ahead seeing her dad holding kreese against the wall "Eloise, Sam" he turned their way letting kreese go and pulling both girls into a hug
"I'm so sorry I wasn't there today" "we were so worried where were you?" Daniel knew he couldn't give a good enough reason for not being there "uh I wish I had a good reason I went out for lunch I got in a cab it's a long story. Okay?" Eloise and Sam nodded just happy to see him
After they caught up with their dad about how the rounds had gone today both girls decided to go with the team to get drinks
Eloise sat next to Devon sipping on her margarita "so something bothering you Eloise" Eloise looked towards Devon playing with her straw "nope"
"What about you Devon I heard what happened how you sabotaged Kenny" Devon got quiet looking ashamed "uh yea but I mean I'm gonna apologize for it" "oh no I don't care I'm not blaming you" "I just thought it was funny really"
"Don't even think about it" Eloise said looking at hawk and demitri "yea we both have girlfriends" demitri said "oh nah cause if I knew my man was looking at other female dancing he would be single" Devon hit her class with Eloise "cheers to that"
Eloise had left the table when Sam offered to go walk with her on the beach
"So um have you talked to Miguel" Sam shook her head "uh no he left in such a rush I mean I miss him and hope his mom okay" Eloise nodded "yea I get what you mean"
"Have you talked to Axel since this morning?" "Nope" Sam stopped in her tracks making Eloise stop too Sam gestured to what she was looking at "Speak of the devil"
