Ian's Perspective:

This marks the fifth anniversary of my relationship with Cayden, with whom I have been involved for a considerable duration. I could not have wished for a more exemplary partner than Cayden. Additionally, this year represents our final year of high school; Cayden is not only my boyfriend but also an exemplary student, maintaining straight A's, and serving as captain of the football team. I take immense pride in his accomplishments.

I have planned a surprise for Cayden: I intend to propose to him, and he remains unaware of my intentions. To facilitate this, I requested my friend and supervisor, Katie, to arrange a special table for us this evening. I am experiencing a degree of anxiety regarding the proposal, as I am uncertain whether Cayden will accept the proposal. However, I believe he will appreciate the ring that Katie and I selected for him.

I have meticulously organized the evening's events, and Cayden is oblivious to what lies ahead. While I awaited his return home, I was in communication with Katie, who informed me that our dinner reservation was confirmed. I expressed my gratitude and concluded the call.

Upon hearing the door open, I recognized it was Cayden returning from school. I greeted him with, "Hey handsome; happy 5th anniversary," to which he responded with a smile, "You too." We shared a kiss, and Cayden then mentioned that he has a football game scheduled for tomorrow, inquiring whether I would be attending to support him.

Furthermore, I should note that Cayden and I now cohabit; we purchased a house together, which has served us well over the past five years. We moved in together at our two-year milestone, and I am astounded by the progress we have made in our relationship.

I informed him of my intention to attend his game, to which he responded with a smile. I then said, "Please go get dressed, my dear; we have a special dinner planned for tonight." He acknowledged my request and proceeded to prepare himself. Additionally, I must mention that we recently discovered that Cayden is pregnant, which has filled me with excitement about the prospect of becoming a father.

However, we are uncertain about the duration of Cayden's pregnancy, as we only learned of it approximately one day ago. I began to prepare for our dinner date, and we have scheduled an ultrasound for tomorrow to obtain a rough estimate of how far along Cayden is in his pregnancy. Once I was ready, I retrieved the ring, placing it discreetly in my pocket. I then sought out Cayden and inquired, "Cayden, are you ready to go?" He responded affirmatively, saying, "Yeah, just a moment." I replied, "Alright!" When Cayden emerged, I found myself momentarily speechless. I looked at him and asked, "Are you ready, my dear?" He nodded in agreement. After securing the house, we departed for our dinner date.
