"Hey Fe, I would have made Christian and his new fling clean up their own mess." Smack said as he leaned against the passenger door.
"You also would have made us all homeless." I said before getting out of the backseat. "You tried to sell our house while I was gone...a house I fought so hard to save for us."
"How can you still be mad about that?"
"Because when I came back dad was dead, Christian was sleeping above the bar and whoring around, and Natalie, Christy, and Lee were panhandling and sleeping on the street."
"You're overreacting...when Tab and I checked on them they were fine." He defended waving off any concerns.
"Because they were pretending everything was fine for your sake, but really they weren't...Christian was a man whore, Natalie was a struggling single mother, and Lee was a lost little boy that thought his big brother was going to come back for him...but he never did...if I didn't come back when I did who knows what would have happened to them." I said before closing the door and stepping on to the sidewalk. "You may have thought you were helping them, but we know that you were just trying to make your bitch of a girlfriend happy...because you couldn't be bothered to wrap it up."
"Oh come on, like we were doing any better with you around." He said before lighting up a cigarette. "I was a drunk, Natalie manipulated a boy into getting her pregnant, Robin was in and out of the mental hospital, Christian was a drug dealer, and not to mention you nearly killed Lee."
"At least I never promised him something and never delivered." I said harshly. "At least I wasn't content with allowing my seventeen year old brother homeless." I retorted before heading towards the bar. "I didn't throw my family away for someone that only cares about what people think of them."
"You don't know her!" He yelled back before grabbing my arm. "So don't act like you know anything about my relationship."
"Then why don't you tell me, Smack...how often does she tell you that she loves you? How often does she tell you how happy she is that she met you?" I asked seriously. "Because Jack says that to me every morning before he goes to work...even Mitchie tells Robin that he loves him every day."
"Where are you going with this?" He asked annoyed.
"I don't think you're as happy as you say you are." I answered as I pulled my arm away from him. "So maybe you should analyze your own relationship before you go around questioning others about theirs."
"You can't honestly think that she is good for him." He tried to argue back, but I wouldn't hear it.
"Katerina is better than most of the girls that he's been with...sure she has some issues, but who doesn't...the point is we should want Christian to be happy with whoever he decides to be with." I said before walking into the bar.
"There she is." Kat said with a small laugh. "Where have you been?"
"I was outside cleaning my backseat." I said before sitting down at the bar. "Thanks for that by the way."
"It was either that or doing it in the alley and I chose the backseat, but you should have locked the doors." She said embarrassed. "And I really didn't want to get caught."
"I understand, but couldn't you've waited until after you got home?" I asked as she poured a couple of shots.
"Blame your brother." She deflected before we shot them back.
I had no idea what she had given me, but it was warm.
"What was in that shot?" I asked with a small laugh.
