Lars standing in the kitchen as his guest sat at the table, Steven explain the situation for the third time. Beside him sat Peridot, holding her hand, looking as nervous as Steven. Her gaze darted between Lars and the table before her, as if already measuring how she'd fit into this potential arrangement.

Steven: So, Lars, it's just until the barn gets repaired! Peridot doesn't really have anywhere else to go, and she made it really clear that she doesn't want to stay in the beach house bathroom again

Steven: So, Lars, it's just until the barn gets repaired! Peridot doesn't really have anywhere else to go, and she made it really clear that she doesn't want to stay in the beach house bathroom again.

Steven's face flushed slightly, and he glanced toward Peridot, whose scowl deepened at the mention.

Peridot: Displeased is putting it lightly. That 'room' is a complete affront to my dignity! The acoustics are atrocious, and the water vapor makes it so foggy! Not to mention the smell-

Steven: Okay! Okay! We don't need to rehash that!

Steven quickly cut her off, his face burning with embarrassment. He turned back to Lars, his expression pleading.

Steven: You and Lapis have so much space! And I promise, it's just temporary. She'll stay out of your way!

Lars sighed, rubbing his temples as he tried to think of a way to say no without coming across as heartless. He could already imagine Lapis' reaction.

Lars: Look, Steven, I get it. But Lapis already has... opinions about her. And by opinions, I mean she's gonna flip out when she finds out about this.

Peridot: Well, that sounds like her problem for not seeing my character development.

She mumbled softly, still salty about her treatment  with Lapis but she does understand why she is treated badly from Lapis and regrets her action but it still hurts.

Lars: No, that's gonna be my problem. The Big Donut will be having a re-opening soon and once I leave, they would be left alone and that would likely not be a 'good' idea.

Steven clasped his hands together, leaning closer with wide, pleading eyes.

Steven: Lars, please. Peridot can't go back to the bathroom, and I'd rather not have her invading... uh, my private space again.

Steven's voice faltered as he said it, glancing nervously at Peridot, who scoffed and waved her hand dismissively.

Peridot: As if I enjoyed being crammed into that water closet of yours. Your 'private space' is hardly enviable.

Steven's cheeks flushed deeper, and he groaned, looking helplessly at Lars whose back was turned to them.

Lars: What is your thoughts, Lapis?

The door behind Steven slides open to reveal Lapis who looked displeased with a sour expression. Upon seeing her, Peridot would get under the table and hide.
