The year was 2020, a time when the world stood still and lives was confined with four walls of home. Ananya Sharma a bright curious 16 year old, spend her days navigating the monotony of the online classes. Thought she missed the chatter of the school corridors and warmth of her friends she had grown to the rhythm of virtual learning.
That morning seemed no different Ananya logged into her class, her teachers voice echoing through her headphones. The screen was a patchwork of faces , classmates in their small digital boxes. Her notebook lay open , half filled with notes and a faint sunlight filtered through curtains.
But then something strange happened. Her pen slipped from her hand, her vision blurred and her body went cold. The world spun in slow motion, and before she could call for help, everything faded into darkness.
The next thing Ananya knew, she was lying in hospital bed, the sterile smell of antiseptic filling the air. The sharp beeping of a monitor punctuated the silence. Disoriented , she blinked at the bright overhead lights.
'Where am I'? She murmured
Her mother Priya was by her side, her face etched with worry but masking something deeper. 'You fainted beta' she said, . The doctors said it might be stress. You have been working too hard lately to which Ananya nodded.
In the hallway outside, Priya clutched Rajiv's arm. The doctors said its epilepsy. How do we tell her that? Her voice cracked with emotions.
"We dont , not yet" Rajiv replied firmly. "Let her focus on her recovery first. We will figure out."
Inside the room Ananya's world remains silent, but the storm had begun- a storm she didn't yet know she would have to face.
