It was the month of May, and the oppressive heat of the day had settled in. Ananya had taken the day off from school, hoping to catch up on assignments and finally complete some pending work. The quiet of her room felt comforting, and for once, there was no pressure—just the weight of unfinished tasks waiting for her attention.

She sat at her desk, focused on her work, when her phone buzzed with a sudden notification. A flood of messages popped up on her screen. Her heart skipped a beat, as she glanced at the words flashing across her phone:

"The 10th board results are out. Check now!"

Her breath hitched. The moment had arrived. She had been waiting for this day with a mix of dread and anticipation. She hadn't told anyone that she was nervous about the results. Everyone else seemed so calm, as if they knew exactly what was going to happen, but deep down, Ananya wasn't sure.

For a moment, she stared at the screen, her fingers frozen over the phone. What if I didn't do well? What if all the effort wasn't enough?

But with a deep breath, she clicked on the link. The page loaded slowly, every second stretching into eternity. Her heart was pounding in her chest, as she saw the numbers slowly appear in front of her.

POV (Ananya's Thoughts):
This is it. The moment I've been waiting for. Please, let it be enough...

Her eyes scanned the results, and then she saw it—she had passed. Her heart soared with relief. It wasn't just about the marks, it was about everything she had endured to get here. Despite the anxiety, the struggles, and the challenges she had faced, she had made it through.

She let out a breath she didn't realize she had been holding. The weight on her chest slowly began to lift.

POV (Ananya's Thoughts):
I did it. It's done. I made it through. And Dadu... wherever you are, I know you're proud of me.

Ananya sat back in her chair, a feeling of accomplishment washing over her. She had crossed a major hurdle in her life, and it felt like a small victory in the midst of all the turmoil she had faced. She didn't need perfect marks to prove her worth—she had proven something much more important: that she was resilient, that she could push through her fears, and that she was capable of handling whatever came next.

The day continued quietly after that, but in her heart, Ananya knew something had shifted. She was no longer the girl she had been when the journey began. She was someone stronger, someone who had earned the right to move forward, no matter what came her way.
