Pick's POV

Pick couldn't let go of Rome; the mere thought that the younger one wouldn't be by his side made him nauseous. Even Rome seemed hesitant to separate from him. Pick slid his arm around Rome's thin waist, trailing behind the Rangers towards the quad bikes. They were quiet along the way until they arrived at their destination.

"Each of you needs to sit behind the Rangers."

Pick felt Rome's grip on his shirt tighten, and honestly, even though he knew they would have to separate, he didn't like that idea.

"Can we ride one together?" Pick asked, but he already knew the answer. Only the Park rangers had the privilege to drive the vehicles.

"Sorry, but no. You ride with me and your boyfriend with him." The old Ranger pointed at the guy already sitting on the quad bike, which was not far from them. With a deep sight, Pick preyed Rome's arms from his torso and gently pushed him away.

"Rome listen to me. You have to ride a different vehicle. Don't be afraid. I will be on the one right behind you." Pick caressed Rome's pale face. Rome's eyes were filled with tears again, tearing his heart apart.

"Trust me, please." He leaned closer kissing the younger's forehead. Rome's eyes dared between him and the quad ride uncertainly.

"Okay, I trust you." Rome's voice quivered. Pick led him towards the vehicle and helped him sit behind the Ranger. Reluctantly he let go of Rome's hand and quickly went to his ride. The sooner they moved the sooner he could have Rome by his side again.
