The next day, I was feeling fine so I was going to school. I was dressed in a white dress with a purple button-up sweater on over it. I put on a little bit of makeup and went downstairs. Mom and Dad were already at work. Someone knocked on the door and I went to answer it. It was Eric. I pulled him in.
"Hey," I said smiling.
He smiled down at me. "Hey. Need a ride?"
"Sure." I grabbed my bag and walked outside with Eric.
"Want to drive," He asked me.
"Seriously?"
He nodded and I hugged him. I put on the helmet and climbed onto the motorcycle. Eric climbed on behind me and explained everything. Soon, we were racing down the road. I was smiling from ear to ear when we pulled into the school parking lot. Eric helped me park the bike and stand it up. He took my helmet off and kissed my cheek. We walked into the school and saw the principal in the hall, raising a fuss. I sped up and asked Kylie what was going on.
"Some kid got killed here and school is out."
I looked at Eric. He dragged Kylie and I outside. He looked unfazed. "Do you two need a ride home? You two need to be safe."
Kylie said Oliver was driving her so I said goodbye to her and Eric and I drove back to my home.
We sat on the stairs outside my house and talked.
"Who do you think died," I asked.
He shrugged. "I don't know. You need to be careful. Okay?"
I nodded and he leaned down and kissed me. Wrapping my arms around his neck, I sat in his lap. He chuckled and continued kissing me. He broke the kiss and looked into my eyes.
"I know this is soon but... I love you," He said.
I smiled and my heart warmed at his affection. "I love you, too."
We kissed for sometime before he left. I walked into my house and locked the door behind me. Better safe than sorry.
