Fourth has been going out every other night now.
Often times the door is heard opening so late that Gemini can't help but await his arrival. It disturbs his sleep knowing hours are passing by and his husband is yet to come home.
Sometimes his finger will hover over the call button, especially when the clock is past 2 am. But he never has the guts to press it.
Washed by worry wasn't his only issue every night either.
On the days he would watch Fourth exiting the house, Gemini's eyes frequently noticed the boy's empty finger. Over and over again. Not a single day missed where he would have it on, even as an accessory.
He grew to be bothered by it. He doesn't know why but it annoys him that Fourth is going out late at night with strangers thinking he doesn't have anyone to return home to.
It shouldn't bother him. First of all, he has no clue of what kind of people Fourth surrounds himself. Neither did it matter because the ring may be a symbol of their marriage, but it doesn't mean anything for a relationship.
Nonetheless, when he'd watch the boy leave with his finger empty, Gemini's dinner eating pace would fasten each time.
It's gotten to the point where he's starting to speculate Fourth might have someone else.
Even assuming that feels wrong, but Gemini isn't angry when the thought crosses his mind.
He wouldn't mind it if he found out Fourth was cheating on him with someone else. It shouldn't even be considered cheating because they never agreed on commitment. Gemini feels it's pretty understandable if the younger one chooses not to romantically involve himself with a man who's busy with work half the day.
But he can still justify his anger about the ring. Fourth should at least have the decency to let him know there's someone else before he messed around. He can always appreciate the heads-up.
Gemini just doesn't want to hear bad news from other people's mouths.

"Come on dude, they're having a band tonight. You can't skip!" Mark pesters the boy with a nudge.
"Sorry, Mark." Fourth sighed. "Not today. I've went out the whole week."
The other isn't convinced. "So what? We're having fun." Mark excuses.
Still shaking his head, Fourth gave his friend a pitiful glance. He's been going out days in a row now and is starting to get sick of returning home drunk all the time.
"We need to get serious about class." He reminded Mark.
They recently got seated in class one random day, and since then Mark has been pestering him to parties every now and then. Fourth never grew the habit of drinking till late at night until Mark introduced it to him.
