Fourth groaned, a low and pained sound that barely echoed in the stillness of the early hour.

He lay sprawled on the narrow, cushiony mattress, head relentlessly pounding with a dull throb the moment he opened his eyes.

The pain earned another distressed grunt from the younger. Taste of stale alcohol lingers on his tongue as he recalled the party.

Wait. The boy blinks slowly, trying to piece together fragmented memories of the previous night. Each movement sent a sharp pain through his skull, causing him to grit his teeth together.

"Where am I?" Fourth mumbled to himself, puzzled by his surroundings. He threw the blanket off to the side and sat up on the bed.

Is this Gemini's room? How the hell did he end up here?

A panicked gasp leaves his mouth. He does not remember calling the man to bring him home. Fourth attempts to piece together the hazy moments in order to figure out what led to this.

I drank, I talked with Ford, Mark gave me more shots, I drank those too...

Then Mark took me home.

That's right. There were no mentions of Gemini throughout the party, nor after it. Did Mark somehow figure out whom to call and brought him here?

This still doesn't answer as to why he's on the elder's bed. Dragging himself to his feet, he staggered towards the door in a rushed manner. His mouth felt dry, and he desperately needed water, maybe even coffee if he could manage it without puking.

Most importantly, he needed to catch up with Gemini.

The headache knocked on his head like a mantra as he steps out of Gemini's rather opulent room. Sizzling could be heard from the kitchen and he decides to follow the noise.

There stood the elder, with his back facing Fourth. He cleared his throat at the sight.

With a rapid heartbeat, Fourth asked, "P' Gemini, what happened yesterday?"

The elder visibly flinches from his voice, probably startled by the abruptness. His left shoulder shook aggressively while he thrusts a pan over the stove.

Fourth awaits an answer but it never came. Confused, he tries to call the man again, this time with a louder voice.

"P' Gemini? Can you hear me? Why was I in your bed?" He slightly yelled.

Instead of a verbal response, he's met with a loud thud as Gemini's actions all of a sudden turn rough. He started flipping the pan in a much more hasty manner, a gesture someone would do if they're annoyed.

Fourth frowns deeply. He sensed the elder's anger right away, causing a puzzled look to plaster over his face.

Is Gemini mad at me?

Minutes pass by before Gemini suddenly spun around. He scowls, avoiding the other's gaze as he gestured Fourth towards the dining table.

He obliges without an argument. Confusion crawled over his body thinking about what had actually happened. Gemini is generally known to be a calm and collected person. He's yet to see the man angry until this day.

Therefore, it felt illegal to be the reason behind his rage.

Fourth slowly sat down on the chair. Something about the elder wearing the brightest pair of pajamas, running on all sides of the kitchen with a hot pan in his hand was a sight to relish.

He opens his mouth again to speak when Gemini approached the table. A fried egg and a couple pieces of sausages crackle in the fiery oil, ready to be served.

However, the boy's knitted eyebrows silenced him pretty quick.

No need to ask. He's definitely mad.

Fourth flinches at the food being slammed before him. Gemini then wordlessly dashed back into his room, leaving him baffled.

"What the hell did I do to him last night?" He ponders loudly. Body slumped down, Fourth struggles to reminisce even just an ounce of what might've occured between them.

He isn't a difficult person to deal with when drunk. Matter of fact, his sober self is more of a handful. Spewing drunken nonsense at anyone can't be the option. Fourth usually just gets extremely drowsy and blacks out after five shots.

He can't sit there and let the suspense worsen. No matter what he's done, Gemini deserves an apology. As much as he despised being left confused, Fourth needed to be the better person right now. It truly seemed impossible to bring the anger out of such a relaxed man and he did exactly that.

A couple of minutes pass by with guilt. He attempted to massage the straining pain off his head by rubbing the sides, a groan escaping every now and then.

While Fourth slowly put the food in his mouth, there's another thud coming from the elder's room.

He adjusted his slumped position right away. Gemini barges out of the room, this time, his colorful pajamas switched to the usual office attire.

Fourth stares at the man about to walk past the kitchen towards the main door. There's a brief moment where Gemini halted his steps, turning to meet his eyes.

You'd think he was glaring, but Fourth honestly found his facial expression to be rather pouty than just mad

"Why do you have your ring off?" Gemini suddenly asked, tone almost like a whine.

Taken aback by the statement, Fourth opens his mouth to respond. His mind shuts down by the time anything can be said, as Gemini had taken the quick chance to barge out; almost like he's escaping the answer.

"What?" The younger mumbled under his breath. He blinks a couple of times in order to process Gemini's frustration clearly.

He's mad about the ring?

Now he's even more confused. Whatever Gemini was trying to say isn't being interpreted by him properly.

With the fork sausage still hovering in the air, Fourth gaped at the empty house. The hangover lingers in his head whilst he let the silence settle around him.

Unexpectedly, the main door draws open yet again. He's startled by Gemini's appearance through the door, as the elder poked his head out to look at his shocked face.

"And am I seriously that unattractive?"
