Fourth in fact did not come home that day. Like, at all.
His previous excitement had kept him awake all night and he's so glad for that. As hours clocked to midnight, and midnight began fading away into the early signs of the next day, Gemini slowly drowned under deep panic.
Fourth mentioned about returning back home, right? Then where was he!
From the way his scowl didn't falter for a single second, Gemini is sure his face has a permanent imprint by now. Even with his eyes drooping to shut close, he still clutched tight onto the phone in hopes of getting a call or something.
It didn't take long for the worst case scenarios to come rushing at his absence.
Was Fourth kidnapped? Hurt? Robbed?
Maybe someone drugged him at the party and his friends couldn't reach him in time.
Or it might just be one of his friends who planned this.
Is Fourth just extra busy? Is that why he specifically told him beforehand?
And much, much more. He couldn't keep up between his racing heart and equally paced thoughts. There wasn't a single possible guess regarding the boy's whereabouts anymore.
Morning seeped in within a couple of tiresome hours. Gemini shot up from the couch his body laid over, eyes widening immediately.
"Fourth," the boy breathes out. He had knocked out from exhaustion altogether.
Which isn't a pleasant mistake to make as of now.
Mentally cursing at himself for such a silly slip up, his hand urgently recovers the phone next to him. Without much debate, Gemini scrolled down in a hurry until the specific name caught his eye.
Husband Fourth.
He pressed the call button right away, bringing it close to his ear. Gemini breathes out nervously as the number rang through.
It felt like reliving the hours he was up waiting last night. The beeping sound of dialing further leveled his fear.
Fourth, please pick up. Please be okay.
It rang for a whopping twenty seconds. When he realizes the call won't go through any longer, Gemini is about to lower the phone down and try again.
However, the final rang was the exact time the call was picked up.
Some random muffling sounds catch his attention right away. Distressed, Gemini hastily glued the screen to his right ear.
"N' Fourth? Are you there? Hello?" The boy rambles.
There's a short silence on the other line, causing him to assume maybe he was still connecting to the call. Gemini tried to speak again, tone gradually getting louder.
