CHAPTER THREE-SECRET WEAPON

Maddy walked into the hallway the guards towering over her as the receptionist spoke up. "State your purpose of visit." Maddy's cold stare deepened as she turned to the woman "I wanted to show the volturi the extent of my abilities and the powers i posses which might be able to strengthen the fear their clan enforces on others." Evangeline would have ran away with just the thought of speaking to others like this. This thought made Maddy smile as she waited for the permission to see the Volturi. Then she was escorted down. She confidently walked into the room and the guards stood near studying every move. "Hello young one." A man with long black hair spoke up but Maddy's confidence remained. "I have a few gifts you may like. My powers havnt been able to be fully excerissed to the maximum ability but i have been working on them"a man now Maddy knows is called Aro looked at the other unsure before saying "well the stage is yours." Maddy smiled "Where is your wanted criminals book?" Aro pointed to the table smiling slightly. Maddy walked over "Do you have in your possession any of these people's personal properties?" Aro nodded and looked at a maid in the room who ran off and returned with a box handing it to Maddy. She held one hand over the box and one over the list of names. "This is the necklace belonging to Fiorella Rossi." Maddy stated. The blonde one spoke up "What you wasted our time with your party trick-" But Aro interjected "Sh now Caius let her work."

Maddy smiles "She committed treason?" Aro nodded "Okay i dont know how well this is going to go but lets see." Maddy closed her eyes cupping the necklace and focusing, her head tilted back slightly. So many memories attached to this. "Found her." Maddy says intriguing Aro. "Hold on she's not thinking about where she is let me just.' Maddy gasps slightly 'damn she's strong. She's at the Valle Cervara in a deep cave. Hasn't been there long. Best to go now to find her." Aro nodded. "Go alert our associate there." Another maid leaves which leaves an awkward silence. Maddy has an idea "Hey Aro. You can read minds see what i saw." Aro vampire speeds over excited to use his power and grabs Maddy's hand which she held out. Aro focused and smiled "That is so strange. I saw everything you saw finding her." Maddy laughed "Good so im not crazy.' Aro looked at her with intrigue 'hey get your fiery little blonde lady over there to cause me agonising pain. Is it okay if i launch her into a wall?" Aro looks slightly concerned but looks at Jane who nods with an ambitious smirk. Pain erupts within Maddy with one word for a few seconds before opening her eyes and locking onto Jane's. Maddy scrambles her mind fluttering between memories loosing focus on the pain. Maddy stands up no longer in agony and gently holds Jane to a wall with her mind. Jane tried to go stronger to cause more pain but looks more exhausted due the concentration she cant hold. "Okay girls girls stop!' Maddy returns Jane to her original spot and stops her focus and so does Jane 'Magnifico. I have never seen someone stand up to Jane's powers like that.' Jealousy is present on Jane's Face 'how?" Maddy smiles "I can do telekinesis which manifested the ability to look into a persons memories with a photo or object and a name and something to tie them to who you are looking for. Then i gained the ability to project my own memories and my location on others. Then i can rearrange thoughts to get the best location of their whereabouts. That also means i can scramble a persons mind. Jane's power requires concentration and the complete focus of the mind on that one person. I basically overrides that making it impossible to hurt me. Holding her to a wall is how i ensure i cant be harmed." Aro looks at her with remarkablitly.

Just then the doors swung open holding a women in chains "Fiorella Rossi. Just where you said sir." Aro looks astonished and so does the others. Maddy can tell they have been looking for her for a very long time. She looked tired and slightly scared "Take her to the dungeon ill deal with her later." Aro says. Caius rises and storms over "How-we have been looking for her for 300 years and you found her in 3 seconds. You-you' Caius sighs 'I'm sorry for having doubt." He says begrudgingly. Maddy nods as she flicks through the book before gasping stepping back slightly "What is it?" Aro asked. "Henry Jones. He's-he's my. Oh god. He's my ex husband." Maddy's cold demeanour flickered for a moment but she took some deep breaths. Aro held out his hand Maddy put her hand in his. he focused for a moment "Evangeline Clarke then Jones' Maddy winced at the name 'sorry dear. Maddison Stone. I'm sorry for what he put you through. You watched him die?" Tears threaten to slip out from her eyes "Thank you. And yes i did but i dont fully believe he's gone. He wouldnt have died that easily. He has a plan. So i changed my name. I became a different person. Am i getting charged with is crimes?" Aro laughed "no no we wouldnt do that Maddison.' She can tell on his face that he wouldnt kill someone who has the possibility of making his clan stronger 'but Can you look for another wanted person for us?" Maddy nodded "You choose." Aro held out a ring with an engraved initial. "Pierro Bulgari. He exposed himself to the humans." Aro said coldly. Maddy nodded cupping the ring she was given. She closed her eyes and her head tilted slightly back. It was a few moments until Maddy spoke again "He's Hiding Far far away. In a place where you cant get him. Deep in the Scottish woodlands. In a cabin. It's decrepit but open. He will see you. He is by the sea. A tall cliff. Thats the marker. In a place called Duress. Be quick." Maddy pulls herself back and places the ring down before giving her hand to Aro. He confirms what she sees and tells his associates.

"Hey Aro i found some more information you may like.' He takes her hand again and sees what she saw as she tells the other 'Pierro holds no remorse for exposing himself to the humans. He is proud of the crime he committed." Aro looks at Maddy "Could you see this with Fiorella?" Maddy shakes her head "I tried she's too strong and she just couldn't think about it." Aro nodded. "We need to discuss what you offer." Maddy nods and leaves the room sat outside admiring the architecture. An hour later a smug man is dragged through the corridor into the room with Aro "Pierro. How lovely to see you again." "Likewise Aro." Aro sighed. "Take Him to the dungeon. And get Maddison." Maddy immediately prepares herself and walks in. "We would like to accept the usage of your gifts as a part of our clan. Do you accept?" Madison smiles "I do thank you so much for this opportunity." Aro reciprocates the smile "Your will be escorted to your room. We all need a place of personal space. You will stay in there until you are called. If you need to leave summon a guard." Maddy nods and follows a guard to her room who shuts the door aggressively when she enters. The room looks over the busy Italian city. She grabs a book from the bookshelf and sits on the windowsill imersing herself in that book. Hours passed and Maddy finally felt ready for this next step. The door flies open "Miss Stone. Aro calls for you." Maddy shuts the book and follows the guard to receive her first official task.
