𝑇𝑤𝑜 𝑤𝑒𝑒𝑘𝑠 𝑎𝑓𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝐹𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑥 𝑔𝑜𝑡 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑔𝑒𝑑
Felix stood at the balcony staring at the vast sky. It had been weeks since the betrayal- week since Benjamin and Talia shattered his life and nearly took his life. The memory of that night still clung to him like a shadow, but today felt different.
Today, he was ready to leave it all behind. Jackson approached silently, standing beside him. The two friends had always been able to sit in comfortable silence but Jackson could tell that Felix had something to say.
After a few moment, Felix spoke, his voice quiet and steady, "I'm not going to seek revenge,Jackson."
Jackson turned, surprised. Felix had been consumed with anger for so long that this sudden shift felt almost unreal. "You sure about that?" Jackson asked, carefully choosing his words. "I mean, after everything Benjamin and Talia did to you, it'd be pretty understandable if you wanted to payback."
Felix shook his head staring at the horizon. "Revenge won't give me what I need. It'll just keep me stuck in the past, trapped in bitterness." He let out a long breath, as if releasing the weight of all those dark thoughts. "I've been thinking a lot lately. I'm not going to waste my life obsessing over them. They don't deserve that power over me."
Jackson nodded slowly, letting the word sink in. "So...what's the plan then?"
A small smile tugged at Felix's lips, something Jackson hadn't seen in a while," Well I had planned that to hand over the business to Benjamin after marrying Talia but there was a twist in events. I'm opening a restaurant. I've already started pulling money from my private account. When my mother was alive she wanted to start her own restaurant but because she was busy helping dad achieving his goals she forgot about her dream. So I want to honour her wishes,''
Jackson's eyes widened with surprise, but admiration soon followed. "A restaurant? That's incredible, man. Where are you planning to set it up?"
Felix hesitated for a moment, then turned to Jackson, his expression more serious now. "I'm leaving the country."
"What?" Jackson blinked, clearly not expecting that.
