Squabble
At the roadside, many food stalls are selling street foods.
Al comes to me with a cup of green juice with him. ”Have some pandan juice Mark. I'll treat you with it.”
I wave my hand saying, “You haven't treated Mae-chan yet. Give it to her.”
“Oh...” he mutters.
You forgot your own girlfriend?
“Want some?” she asks Mae.
“............,” Mae-chan is silent for a few seconds. She purses her lips, shaking her head.
She looks sad. These two are definitely going through something.
“?”
Seeing this, Eli-chan tightens her grip. She looks afraid..? What is she thinking right now?
“I see. Then I'll have it,” Al says.
“Hey! Why didn't you asked me?” Rose complains.
“Oh, I already drank it a little but you can still take it,” Al offers.
“Huh? I don't want your dirty juice. Moreover, you already drank on it!” Rose rejects Al.
“What the fuck! So ungrateful! You're the one who asked for it!” Al shouts at her
“I never asked for that!”
“You clearly did!”
“I don't want your juice but you should have asked me as well!” Rose argues.
“What?! What the hell that supposed to mean? You are really strange,” Al looks genuinely confused.
“You're just an idiot! So simple yet you can't even understand it,” Rose rolls her eyes in him. “Don't talk to me! I don't want to get infected by your stupidity.”
“Like hell I wanted to be with you. You get away from me!” Al shouts back.
I wave my hand at them, “Okay that's enough playing with each other—”
““WE'RE NOT PLAYING!!”” they say at the same time.
“In sync again. You two are really close,” I grin.
““WE'RE NOT!!” they deny it at the same time.
“You—” I want to say something but Mae-chan interjects immediately. She says, “Okay, it's already late. We have to go now.”
Rose sticks her tongue out before striding forward. “.............”
A while later, everyone becomes silent. After Rose and Al stopped their shenanigans, the whole group became silent. Mae is glancing at Al from time to time. And Rose walks behind us. Eli-chan on the other hand— well, she is clearly upset.
Al slows down to walk beside me. He coughs before asking, “Mark, when are you going to give me your answer?”
I push him away. “Don't rush me. Let me think about it.”
“I'm not impatient!“ he argues. “How about you come with me tomorrow after school? I'll show you something that could perhaps speed up your decision making.”
“I don't think so but alright if I have time,” I reply to him.
Mae interjects, “Wait Al. What do you mean by that?”
Al says, “What? I'm just gonna hang out with Mark.”
“But I just came back. Aren't we gonna have a dinner or something?” Mae frowns.
