Alleene Betrayed Me
We are on our way towards the canteen. Mae-chan was reluctant at first but she agreed to come with me anyway. But on our way, we meet someone.
“I knew it,” Eli-chan says while frowning.
“Miss Hecate,” Mae says with a worried look. Eli-chan is glaring at her like as if she'll pounce on her any second.
“How dare you,” Eli-chan who's angry walks towards Mae-chan but I block her. “!”
“Uh-uh..”
“.............???” Eli-chan looks at me with confusion and sadness. She starts to tear up. “.............”
I pinch her cheeks, “Don't cry. We're just going to buy some snacks. And it's our reunion so I ought to welcome her.”
“But...” she looks really sad… and scared...
“Mark— uh, Mark-kun. It's fine. You should go with Miss Hecate instead,” Mae says then left immediately.
I sigh. Then I hold Eli-chan's hand and pull her away. I ask a question a while later, “Eli-chan, are you jealous?”
“.....yes,” she says with a lowered head.
There is a stonebench ahead. I take my seat, pulling Eli-chan to sit on my lap. I hug her from behind, smelling her fragrance. I say, “Alright. I apologize,”
I feel like I have a big cat nesting on my lap. Her body is so soft.
“... I'm sorry as well. I was just scared. She was your first love after all,” she says weakly.
I rest my chin on her soft shoulder. “But you don't have to worry about it. Mae-chan Al's girlfriend. I won't take her away from him.”
“I felt something was off when I saw that girl at first. Then you said this noon she was your first love. I read something before: First love never dies. You can't blame me for worrying right?” She grabs my hand and says, “You told me before that a friend of yours stole your first love. That was Al, right?”
Hmm... Thoughts run in my mind but I can't pinpoint them. I say, “Exactly. He betrayed me to take her away, so all the emptiness I endured back then would mean nothing if I stooped to stealing her back. Besides, I’ve long since let go of any feelings I had for her.”
“Really?” she asks but her voice sounds better.
“You don't believe me?” I smirk.
“I believe you,” she says then she kiss my cheek.
“Then rest assured,” I say kissing her on the lips.
“Hehe. Alright.” She stands up pulling me away with a smile on her face. She says, “Let's go and eat.”
Hours had passed. It's already 5 in the afternoon but I'm still in the classroom.
Eli-chan and the others are not here. They have a meeting in the SSG. Because we decided to go home together, I have to wait for them.
Eli-chan is the Vice President of the SSG.
‘SSG’ or the ‘Supreme Student Government’ which is a foremost co-curricular student organization authorized to manage and implement programs, projects, events, and activities in school.
Rose, as the daughter of the CEO of a well-known company, serves as their treasurer.
Mary is an officer as well. She's the PIO. And that actually suits her. She's amiable, approachable, extroverted, and cheery so public interaction is her forte.
