Author's POV

"Hey, gorgeous!" Hazel chirped "lunch? Come onn! I know all the best spots around the campus! I've like...had the whole menu." she grinned "I know all the best spots!"

Her energy made Anya blink a few times. She couldn't help as a small laugh escaped her lips "perfect!" She said jovially. getting up, slinging her bag over one shoulder. "lead the way!" Hazel giggled and Anya joined her. She grabbed her arms like they've known each other since childhood and started
walking towards the exit "you gonna love this, and I know you like the spices..I know the best place here..." Hazel was blabbering which was interrupted by a loud thud of hands on the doorframe.blocking their path.

The loud thud making them startle, Anya closed her eyes almost instinctively, the jarring sound made her step back, her pulse hammering quickly.Hazel glared at Amy as she positioned herself, leaning on the doorframe, arms crossed and hips arched from one side, not leaving a single chance to grab attention. She was wearing a soft pink mini leather skirt with white crop tops and a layer of designer pink blazer.

Her lips curved into a sly, almost bitchy smirk,Her predatory eyes narrowing further with annoyance as she eyes Anya from head to toe.

Anya didn't flinch. She stood there. unfazed.

"Well well...you are welcome here, newbie. Wanna be friends?" Amy drawled, her voice dropping with mockery.

"Amy we've got no time for this shi-"

"If it isn't the new girl and her little guide." Amy interrupted hazel, blinking her eyes in mock innocence. Her fake lashes larger than her eyes. Her voice carried a hint of annoyance now.

"Move." Anya said, Her voice firm and her gaze sharp.

Amy chuckled, clearly annoyed. Surprisingly, she was affected by Anya's firmness and guts. There weren't days when Amy bullied and someone didn't let her bully. Turns out Anya was the first one.

Pushing herself off the door frame she took steps closer to Anya and stood right in front of her nose. Amy offered a sweet yet bitchy smile her head tilted slightly as she practically scanned anya's face disdainfully.

Adrian, who was busy in his phone glanced up his gaze following Tyler's who was watching the whole show since the very start, sitting on one of the desks right beside Adrian's.

"What's the hurry...Bollywood Bella? It's not like you belong here anyways.." Her tone was innocent, each word spiting up deliberately from her trash can.

Adrian huffed in annoyance, which didn't came into notice cuz he was practically on the other end of the classroom.

Anya felt a familiar knot of anger and frustration bubbling in her chest but she remained calm. Her shoulders squared and chin up, standing for herself. "I don't remember asking for your opinion," Anya said unfazed, maintaing her calm but the fire in her eyes was enough to make Amy's smirk falter.

"Aww" Amy mocked, regaining her composure "you've got some guts honey, cute. But don't think they'll get you around everytime. You are yet to get the full show. I've got my girlies" she glanced behind, her mean girl gang smirking and chuckling all along.

Hazel clipped, Her tone exasperated yet also lacking energy."You mean your dogs?"

Amy gave Hazel a death glare,The unfazed Hazel, stood her ground, arms crossed and a bored expression on her face."careful, hazel," her voice dripping with false sweetness and her fingers went to curl a lock of anya's hair to show her sass.
"You touch me,you are over." Anya warned.

Amy huffed a mocking chuckle
"You've got some guts brownie-"

"And I'm not bluffing, not everyone barks, you know.." Anya delivered in a measured tone.

Amy's composure slipped and she was about to her grab arm when a tall figure came in between, Adrian passed through the doorway, his hands in his pockets. He just glanced at amy,his gaze sharp enough to stop Amy as he passed by. Amy's demeanour changed like a chameleon and she tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear in a flirtious manner. She gave us a final glare before following Adrian.

Anya and Hazel shared glances, both of them finally sighed, the tension in the air easing.

Meanwhile Adrian, who was walking downstairs to the cafeteria unhurried. With Tyler walking beside him, ranting about some group project that wasn't going his way. Shook his head in slight amusement, his mind wandered back to the scene happened in the classroom, not paying attention to Tyler's rants .

"I think I've saved amy instead" he thought to himself..The faintest hint of amusement tugging at the corners of his lips.

"Ignore her" Hazel assured as they both started walking around the hallways and to the cafeteria "I did try, but she was really getting under my skin! Lucky her that tall, helmet maniac came in between."

"You mean Adrian?"

"Yea..whatever his name is.." Anya replied casually, putting her long dark brown hair in a bun with a clawclip.

"She's clingy with hot guys and Adrian?! He's on the top of every girls list.."Hazel exaggerated.

"really?" Anya raised a brow looking at hazel and then her gaze fell on amy who was pinned by a guy on the wall of lockers, there was amy, biting her lips, looking into the guy's eyes and acting all cute and innocent. Chuckling and giggling, clearly excited.

"She seems more... desperate than anything" Anya said focusing back on hazel, adjusting her claw clip in her hair.

Hazel chuckled glancing were Anya was looking just before "oh yea, she has a way with boys. It works for her sometimes, but Adrian? He does not give a damn!, Barely acknowledging her or anyones for that matter. But that doesn't stop girls drooling over him.."
Hazel smirked as they weaved through the crowd.

Anya rolls her eyes, passing a tray to hazel "you really don't know him, do you?" Hazel started, tossing a bag of chips on her tray "Adrian Marshall isn't 'just another guy'.." she turned to face Anya with a grin "He's the definition of Hot, smart and unattainable. Completely disinterested in drama... He's the captain of the basketball team here, at larkspur and also makes music. He's like 'the' epitome of perfection."

Anya chuckled unimpressed "wow, sounds like you've memorized his entire resume" she said dryly, uninterested. Her tone laced with sarcasm.

Hazel laughed, impressed by anya's sarcasm and pure nonchalance. "I mean who wouldn't?"

Anya shrugged as they made their way to one of the tables "well...I'm not here to join his fan club."

"Not yet " hazel teased "you have more things to explore newbie.."

"Doubtful" Anya rolled her eyes before taking a bite of her sandwich. "There should be more spice" Anya muttered.
