Grandma Candy

By the time the four Yuus were hungry enough to head back inside, more cousins had arrived. The house was starting to get full of family, and there wasn't a single room that didn't have a group of people chatting.

The boys were looking for their parents when Grandma spotted them. She was sitting on an armchair in the living room, gesturing for them to approach her. There was a purse in her lap and she was pulling something out of it.

Curious, the four boys approached their grandmother. As soon as they were close enough to reach, she handed each of them something small. It was candy! Grandma candy! The four boys lit up in delight as they eagerly unwrapped the candy and popped it into their mouths.

"Thank you, Grandma!" they said, but the house was a bit too noisy from all the family for their voices to be heard. Grandma seemed to know what they were saying, though, and pinched their cheeks.

The candy was very good, and Yuri in particular liked it a lot. All Fusion duelists loved sweets, especially Academia students. The strict regime of Academia meant that they were never allowed to have any, though. Which was why a lot of Academia students tended to put sugar and sweets on absolutely every non-sugary food they could find when they were away from the school, and why they loved candy so much.

Grandma seemed quite pleased that her grandbabies liked the candy she gave them. It had been a long time since she'd had grandbabies in the house to spoil with candy. She was very glad that Yoko had agreed to bring her family to visit. It was so nice to have them around!
