The Documents of Life
Life is so confusing,
Especially for people my age;
A book with an ending,
But no skimming any page.
Each sentence life-changing;
Each word set in stone,
A plot twist could always change
What we thought we had known.
You don't have a choice
Of who comes into your life,
They may become a main character
Or someone you're destined to fight.
These sentences have no limits.
These pages, seemingly no end
Yet each chapter has its importance,
Caused by enemy or friend.
The past is unchangeable,
The future yet to come;
But unfortunately the past
can be seen by anyone.
Some chapters will drag on,
Others too soon will end;
But important life choices
Are always around the bend.
We cannot read ahead,
We must wait our turn:
To discover our life's importance,
There's just so much to learn.
Once a book is published,
Some will have more views,
But whether it is a good one
Is up for you to choose.
