Putting into motion

The next morning

At the airport the undercover couple waiting for their third collaborator, aka Eric Nam's actual girlfriend to come join them. Eddie having met her from spending time with his brother was relieved but Sooyoung on the other hand felt uneasy about this.

"Nobody ever told me oppa's girlfriend was going to be there. What am I gonna do? What am I gonna say!? I doubt she would want the obsessive ex lover working with her. Wae..." She grit her teeth.

She only imagined how awkward it will be given her past. They have only met on a few occasions but they kept a considerable distance. There was simply no way this going to be peaceful. Would she resent her for what she have done? Can she ever repay her?

"What's the matter there Sooyoung-ah you look nervous? It's just my brother's girlfriend."

"That's exactly the problem oppa! She already knows my feelings towards him, she even knows that I confessed to him. She's not going to like working with me. She's gonna think I'm after him!! Oh my gosh why is this happening!? If I had known she would be here-"

"Sooyoung, you're going to be fine! Trust me." Eddie place his hand firmly on hers to calm her down.

"I never thought this would get this complicated..." Sooyoung kicked her feet in distress.

"We need Ailee to seperate them. I promise she won't do anything to you." Eddie reassured her.

They then received the text message that Ailee already landed. The two quietly walked to where Ailee was standing.

"Eddie am I so glad to see you!! You should have told me you were trying to stop them!"

"We didn't think you would have time to do it so we took action for you. I didn't think it would be such a hassle." Eddie gestured Sooyoung to step forward.

Ailee gasped in disbelief as Sooyoung nervously walked forward.

"Umm annyeong. Haha..." Sooyoung laughed with such awkwardness that it reminded them of Eric Nam.

"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in Korea with your group?"

"I should say the same thing!! Before you jump to conclusions no I have intentions of stealing Nam oppa!! I already made it clear I moved on from it!" Sooyoung defended herself.

"She is telling the truth noona. It was her idea for us to come to America to separate them." Eddie clarified.

"Yes we were trying to get them separated but it's hard! There's cameras all over like flies! I just need an opportunity to break oppa and Seohyun-ah away. I don't know how else to explain it to you. It's not just about oppa, my friend is living in Lala land unaware he doesn't love her back! I don't want her to go the same heartbreak I did! Can't you see I want this all to end just as much as you." Sooyoung said with urgency.

Ailee stood there trying feeling a mix of sympathy and pity. It was true that Sooyoung spent most of her youth chasing after Eric. Even Ailee could tell she had an obvious crush. It seemed the girl went through some things to make her change this much. For the first she had some decent respect.

The trio formulated their plan throughout the afternoon. It was decided that Sooyoung would act as the distraction. While she kept their target busy, Eddie Nam would guide his brother away. Once separated Eddie Nam will distract the camera crew with a "meal" and make up an excuse that the "wedded couple were having a meal together". This would lower their guard and allow Sooyoung to confront her friend. It sounded more effective than his original plan. With Ailee teaming up, they had enough people to enact their plan.
