Creatures of the Night - Part 2

Liam and I were currently playing hide and seek. I was hiding and I had the best hiding place, down near the morgue. Of course being werewolves it was a little easier to play hide and seek in a big place. I was walking down the hallway past the morgue when I noticed Deputy Parrish, Stilinski and Ms.McCall were in there. I panicked and hide behind the wall listening in on their conversation.

"We need to find Scott." Parrish said.

My eyes widened as I listened more.

"His claws were different. Twice the size of Scott's and they were more like talons." Parrish told them.

"If that's the worst part that doesn't sound to bad."

"It's worse, it did something to me. I don't know how to describe it other than it felt if the life was being drawn out of me, through the claws." Parrish explained. I was to busy concentrating on their conversation I didn't even notice Liam's voice down the hallway.

"Ah there you are, finally found yo-" He started.

"Shhh" I said quietly, putting a finger to my lips.

"Why what's wrong?" He asked and I pushed him back against the wall and held my hand out to him as I closed my eyes and concentrated on their conversation.

"You can't steal a true alpha's power." Melissa told him.

"I think this guy can." Parrish said. I turned to Liam and whispered, "We need to find Scott.", and like that we were off running off.

"Wait why?" Liam asked me while we were still running through the hospital.

"Couldn't you hear them? Parrish was attacked by a werewolf but, a different kind of werewolf who had talons for claws and when they went inside Parrish he said it felt like the life was being drawn out of him and now he's after Scott."

"I thought you couldn't steal a true alpha's power." Liam asked.

"He thinks this guy can." I finished as we ran out of the hospital making our way to the school.

While we were making our way it started to pour down, hard, but finally, we made it to the school and followed the other students towards the library. we ran around looking for anyone. Liam suddenly stopped looking around and I ran right into his back.

"There! Stiles and Malia." I said and pointed to them. Liam took off running and I followed him. Malia suddenly slammed him on the ground and I slammed right in her side pushing her over making her get off Liam. I helped him up.

"Oh my God." Stiles breathed helping up Malia.

"Hey you-" she started and launched after me, but Stiles stopped her as I helped Liam up.

"What are you doing here?!" Stiles asked trying to start an argument.

"Look we don't have time for this!" I yelled.

"Scott's in trouble." Liam said.

"We don't have time to explain come on." I said and dragged them along. We ran and ran until I heard growls and we all stopped in our tracks. I looked at Malia and she had the same idea and we ran. We got closer to the growls and I suddenly saw a figure covered in a black liquid with glowing blue eyes and talons, but one of his hands was shoved into Scott's chest.

Liam and I growled and roared along with Malia. We saw Scott getting weaker until he took a stand and broke the guys arm. He threw the talons aside that were dug into his ribs,

"Listen I don't know who you are or what you thought you were gonna do, but I'll give you a choice. You can either stay here and I'll break something else or, you can run." Scott said to him. The man looked over at us and I heard Stiles' voice.

"I'd run" he said.

And just like that he hobbled away. Scott came back over to us normal. Kira came up behind him, but I saw another figure in the background.

"You don't remember me do you?" The boy asked directed at Scott, but he didn't answer.

"I guess I look a little different since the fourth grade." He continued.

"Theo?!" Scott said surprised and 'Theo' just smiled.

"You know him?" Malia asked.

"They use to. Trust me I thought I'd never see you guys again. A couple months ago I heard of an alpha in Beacon Hills, when I found out his name was Scott McCall, I couldn't believe it. Not just an alpha, but a true alpha." Theo said.

"What do you want?" Scott asked.

"Came back to Beacon Hills. Came back home to my family, because I wanna be apart of your pack." Theo responded. Everyone looked at Scott, but then I turned to look at Stiles who had an unsure look across his face.

Liam and I finally decided to get back home. He told me he texted his Dad and said he could spend the night at mine and I had already made a call to Stiles' dad earlier.

We ran and ran all the way until we reached my house. I unlocked the door and found a note on the counter.

Stiles and Claire,

Got called in for an emergency, should be home around 1.

Love always -Dad

I wrote a little goodnight message and set it in his bathroom. I came back out and Liam was sitting at the breakfast bar barely staying awake. We were both drenched from the rain and I could see the exhaustion in his face. I walked up to him and gave him a little kiss to wake him up.

"Come on I know you're tired." I said to him and we both headed upstairs.

We went into my room and I peeled off his shirt and set it in my bathroom to hang up and dry. I went down the hall to Stiles' room and got him some sweatpants to wear to bed. He was standing in my room in boxers and I handed him the sweatpants as I went into the bathroom to change and wash away whatever makeup was left dripping down my face. I came back out and I saw Liam already on his side of the bed. I wandered over and got in with him.

"Night Liam." I whispered and he fluttered his eyes open and met mine. I gave him a kiss on the lips and his eyelids fluttered back over his beautiful blue eyes.

"Night Claire Bear." he said and put an arm around me to pull me towards him. He kissed my head and we both peacefully fell asleep.
