"We never should have read that book."

The morning meant school and school meant another crazy day of my life I have to live through. Since Stiles and Malia went to go talk to my Dad at the sheriff's office Scott gave me a ride. Later in the day he texted me to meet up with him and Theo to keep on the look out for anymore Chimeras. Considering the fact 8 more were buried.

"So basically we're looking for abnormal behavior?" Theo asks as we look among passing students from the balcony.

"Anyone acting a little off or a little weird." I told him.

"Isn't everyone a little weird in high school." Theo said.

"Yea, good point." Scott said.

"You remember Tracy went on a killing spree after reading that?" Theo said

"You think it's a bad idea?" Scott asked.

"I think Malia getting run down by a car could have been bad. That's why you guys haven't finished it yet right?" Theo asked.

"We're going to." I said.

"Guys I came here hoping to find a pack. I wasn't planning on watching one fall apart." Theo persisted.

"The book is all we've got." Scott sighed.

"Then I'll read it too." Theo said hopeful.

"Scott, maybe it is a good idea, I mean we need all the eyes we can get right?" I asked.

"Alright you're in. Claire come by later tonight if you can otherwise stay home and study, you're still a sophomore and I don't want you falling behind because of us." Scott said.

"Okay mom, don't worry." I said sarcastically.

"Keep and eye on Liam, see you tonight." He said and Theo sent me a smile and a wave then headed off to class.

"What are we doing here again. I thought you were taking me home. Plus I have to go meet Scott and the others later."

"Just 5 minutes please."

"What is it with you and Hayden?" I assumed.

"Nothing, she's my enemy from 6th grade and you two were best friends and you're my girlfriend." He said sincerly. I sighed and didn't say anything back as I went into the club.

"I'll wait here." I said and waiting behind the stage. He went off to look for Hayden and I waited and waited and then the power went off. I could see clearly so I saw Hayden and Liam got toward the back where the switches were. I hid behind the wall and listened in on their conversation.

"If you're trying to be a good guy, I really don't care." Hayden said carelessly.

"I'm just trying to make up for the sixth grade." Liam said calmly.

"Nothing will make up for the 6th grade." I heard her struggling to turn the main power back on and I looked and saw Liam put his hand on hers and lift it up. She turned around surprised at the unusal closeness between them. Liam backed up and started to speak again.

"If you wanna keep hating me, go for it. You said I owe you 200 so it's 43 more."

"How much of this was Claire's?" She asked smartly.

"None, it's not her fault or problem anyway." He said.

I had a shocked look of what had just happened and I ran back to the spot I was suppose to be waiting in. He came back not 2 minutes later.
