Status Asthmaticus

Theo's POV

"What do you mean, "No"? " Liam asked Scott angrily.

"Liam, look at her. She's too weak. It will kill her. We don't even know what the mercury's doing to her. We don't even know if it is actually mercury. This can't be the only way to save her life." Scott explained.

"It saved mine." Liam shot back.

"You know, that was different. You were hanging off a ledge."

"You promised." Liam scowled. "You said you'd do everything you could."

"Which is why I'm not going to do something I think is going to kill her. There has to be-" Scott started to lose his breath.

"There has to -"

"Scott." I said getting his attention and throwing the inhaler to him.

"There's another way to save her." He finally got out.

"Guys, I don't know about the statistics are for surviving a werewolf bite, but she's definitely not surviving this. We need to do something." I stated as Hayden got worse.

"Ahhhh" I heard a groan and it came from Claire. She started to cough and out came more of that liquid.

"You want me to bit Hayden when a real werewolf can't even heal from this." Scott muttered.

"She's real she'll heal and get over it." Liam spat.

"What'd you say?" Scott said turning around looking at Liam. I could feel the heat rising.

"You heard me." Liam spoke.

"You know I remember when you use to love her and care for her and I get it Liam, you have her now but, you broke her. You know nothing about us or this pack, the extremities we've endured. She's my sister and if you can't handle it and believe that Hayden is more important to save because she's human, then you can leave and don't come back, you're choice." He said getting in Liam's face.

"Guys? Stop you're arguing gets us nowhere. We need to figure this out because neither of them look good." I said. The we heard a squeak from the body next to us.

"I'm sorry." Claire cried out to Scott. Liam's face twisted in disgust.

"Hey it's alright calm down, everything will be okay." Scott calmed her and laid her back down.

"I have an idea." He said and went out and made a phone call.

Claire's POV

I was awake and fully aware of what was happening even though I was weak and half dead. Scott's mom came to see if she could help us.

"What's that?" Liam asked suspiciously.

"It's called chelation therapy. It removes heavy metals from the blood, but, the problem is, is that can injure the kidneys and Hayden only has one to begin with, and Claire is a werewolf and even her body is rejecting everything, so" Melissa said and put a needle in Hayden's wrist, but she groaned in pain and Liam grabbed a hold of Melissa's wrist.

"Hey, you're hurting her." He said raising his voice slightly.

"And you're hurting me." Melissa said. Scott glared at him almost wanting to take a bit out of him right there and then.
