In the grand celestial hall of Sora, the Almighty paced back and forth, his frustration evident as his glowing aura dimmed slightly. His eyes, once calm and omniscient, now burned with a mix of anger and worry. Seated before him was Goddess Wanwiwa, her usually unshakable demeanor clouded with guilt.
“She defied me, Wanwiwa,” the Almighty said, his voice echoing through the hall like thunder. “My own daughter turned her back on my commands and descended to Earth. Do you know what this means?”
Wanwiwa lowered her gaze, unable to meet her brother’s eyes. “I know, and I accept responsibility for it. But Freen only did what she thought was right.”
“What she thought was right?” the Almighty roared. “She risks everything—her powers, her immortality, her very existence in Sora—for a mortal bound by a curse. And worse, if she forms a physical bond with this human, she may never return to Sora. She will become trapped, powerless, and vulnerable!”
Wanwiwa flinched but remained silent, knowing that arguing with the Almighty when he was in this state would be futile.
He continued, his voice trembling with both anger and sorrow. “You enabled her rebellion, Wanwiwa. You let her leave without stopping her, without advising her of the consequences. Do you even understand what could happen if she fails? Sora itself could be thrown into chaos!”
“Brother,” Wanwiwa said softly, her voice heavy with regret, “I never meant for this to happen. I will fix it. I will go to Earth myself and ensure Freen does not stray further.”
The Almighty’s gaze softened slightly, though his worry did not wane. “And how do you plan to stop her? She is stubborn, more so than even you.”
Wanwiwa straightened, determination hardening her features. “I will take on a mortal form and join her on Earth. As her sister, I will stay close to her. I will ensure she does not lose control, does not succumb to the temptations of the human world, and most importantly, does not jeopardize her return to Sora.”
The Almighty stared at her for a long moment, his divine mind turning over the possibilities. Finally, he nodded. “Very well. But know this, Wanwiwa—if you fail, you will share in her fate. You will become mortal, just as she risks becoming. I cannot intervene further. This is your responsibility now.”
Wanwiwa bowed her head solemnly. “I understand, my brother. I will not fail you.”
The Almighty stepped closer, his tone softer but still firm. “Remember, Wanwiwa, Freen’s love for this mortal is strong, perhaps stronger than even I anticipated. Do not underestimate the bond they share. But you must remind her—her duty to Sora comes first.”
Wanwiwa rose to her feet, her resolve unshakable. “I will leave at once. Freen will not stray while I am there.”
As Wanwiwa turned to depart, the Almighty called out to her once more. “And Wanwiwa... ensure that Freen does not make the same mistake you did centuries ago.”
Wanwiwa paused, her heart tightening at the memory of her own lost love. She nodded briefly before stepping into the light, her form shimmering as she prepared to descend to Earth.
On Earth, Sam, unaware of the storm brewing in Sora, stood by the garden, her thoughts consumed by Mon’s quiet presence. She did not know that her sister, Wan, was on her way, determined to ensure that the Goddess of Healing would not fall victim to mortal desires—or the curse that bound them all.
