Mon stood there, trembling, her eyes darting nervously around the grandeur of the room. Her fear was palpable, her delicate frame stiff with unease. Sam, or rather Freen, watched her silently from the doorway, her heart aching. The sight of Mon—the girl who had been her Becky in another life—shattered her resolve to remain distant. But she reminded herself why she had chosen this path. "It’s better this way," Sam whispered to herself, her voice trembling with emotion. She turned away momentarily, fighting back tears.

A Few Weeks Earlier in Sora
The golden halls of Sora resonated with Freen’s determined footsteps as she stormed into Goddess Wanviva’s chamber. The Goddess, seated on her ornate throne, looked up with a mix of concern and frustration.

“Goddess Wan,” Freen said, her voice firm but laced with pain, “I want to go to Earth. I have to help her. She’s suffering because of me.”

Wanviva’s gaze hardened. “You can’t, Freen. It’s forbidden. The Almighty won’t allow it.”

Freen’s emerald eyes blazed with defiance. “No one, not even the Almighty, can stop me. She’s my everything, and I won’t abandon her again.”

Wanviva stood abruptly, her aura flaring with divine authority. “Do you understand the risk you’re taking? You’ll be stripped of your powers. You’ll become mortal if you stay too long.”

“I don’t care,” Freen shot back, her voice cracking. “If it means I can be by her side, I’ll give up everything.”

At that moment, Nam entered the chamber, her expression resolute. “If Freen is going, I’m going with her. She shouldn’t face this alone.”

Wanviva’s shoulders slumped. She knew she couldn’t stop them. “Then go,” she said quietly. “But remember, Earth is not Sora. The pain there is real, and the consequences are irreversible.”

Present Day on Earth
Sam—once Freen—stood at the foot of the grand staircase in her mansion, watching as Mon was reluctantly led away by two maids. She had planned everything meticulously to bring Mon here, yet now, seeing the lifelessness in her once-vivid eyes, she felt an overwhelming wave of guilt.

Mon’s gaze remained fixed on the ground, her silence cutting deeper than any words could. Her disheveled hair framed a face void of hope, and the faint bruises on her arms told stories of a life filled with suffering.

Jim, now her trusted ally on Earth, stepped beside Sam, his voice low. “Are you sure this is the right way? She’s not the same Becky we remember.”

Sam clenched her fists. “I know,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper. “But she’s still her. And I’ll do everything to help her heal, even if she doesn’t recognize me.”

The maids guided Mon upstairs to a lavish room, its walls adorned with soft pastels and delicate floral patterns. But the beauty of the space seemed lost on her. She sat stiffly on the edge of the bed, her hands clasped tightly together, as though bracing for the next blow.

Sam watched through the slightly ajar door, her heart breaking at the sight. Memories of their time in Sora flooded her mind—Becky’s laughter, her warmth, the way her eyes lit up with mischief. Now, all that remained was a shadow of the person she loved.

Jim placed a reassuring hand on Sam’s shoulder. “Give her time. She’s been through hell. You’ll get her back.”

Sam nodded but remained rooted to the spot, unable to tear her gaze away. She whispered to herself, “I’ll save you, Becky. Even if it takes a lifetime, I’ll make you whole again.”

Inside the room, Mon remained motionless. She didn’t look up, didn’t acknowledge anyone. She couldn’t feel anything anymore. Every ounce of pain, every insult, every blow had drained her of her ability to trust, to hope, to dream.

But even in her numbness, she felt a strange presence—warm and familiar, like a distant memory trying to resurface. For a fleeting moment, she glanced toward the door, but it was empty. With a sigh, she lowered her gaze, unaware that Sam had silently stepped away, her resolve stronger than ever.

“I’ll make her see,” Sam vowed as she descended the stairs. “She’s not alone anymore.”
