After celebrating, Sonic and Xenolith ran towards the next town over, which was a small town on top of a hill. The orange Wisp that decided to join Xenolith was sleeping soundly inside of his quills, small headphones blocking out the noise. As they ran closer, Sonic voiced his thoughts.
SONIC: "Whoever is organizing Eggman's robots is really stepping up their game."
XENOLITH: "No kidding. It feels like each location we visit had more Badniks than the last."
NICOLE: "That is because they are."
Sonic hums in agreement as they approach the main gate, not hearing Nicole.
SONIC: "I hope we're not too late from this attack."
They quicken their pace, drifting up the uphill, narrow, and curvy road. As they arrive, multiple robots are seen attacking nearby citizens. Xenolith quickly skated forward, using Chaos Snap to teleport to the air born enemies while Sonic slid down and destroyed the Badniks on foot. However, their attention is drawn to scraps of Badniks laying on the ground.
SONIC: "...Somebody's here?"
XENOLITH: "Nope."
Xenolith landed on the ground next to Sonic, point in his thumb finger back at a Lemur who was using her tail to dismantle the robots. She wrapped three in her tail, and pulls on it. After a moment, they exploded.
LEMUR MOBIAN: "Woo! And ow. Woo and ow!"
A Badnik she dealt with earlier aimed its canon at her.
XENOLITH: "I've got this one."
He dashed forward, leaping into the air and driving an ax kick into the robots skull, caving it in.
XENOLITH: "Careful. You never know how many times you need to hit these things down before they stay down!"
The Lemur turned to Xenolith, surprised.
LEMUR MOBIAN: "Whoops! Thanks! Welcome to my hometown! Sorry for the mess. We've got a bit of a robot problem."
Sonic runs up as well, leaving the three in surrounded by Badniks.
SONIC: "Problem? What problem?"
LEMUR MOBIAN: "Ha! You're sweet not to notice."
Sonic Spin Dashes into a Badnik, taking it down before Xenolith dives down and quickly kicks another Badnik in the stomach with a powerful kick, sending it crashing into the street in scraps.
LEMUR MOBIAN: "Nice one! You're both naturals. Do you two do this a lot?"
She used her tail to punch a Badnik into the concrete.
