Xenolith and Sonic continued to assist in certain towns, all the while trying to find who the ringleader was in this operation. It had become clear that they needed help, so Sonic suggested they made contact to a group of detectives called "The Chaotix" in order to find Eggman. Xenolith decided to agree with Nicole doing research on the group through her network. Turns out, they were quite the reliable group, and currently looking into the disappearance with Eggman beforehand. After getting word from the Chameleon known as Espio, they decided to meet up with the group.

However, they found themselves being attacked by Badniks on all fronts.
SONIC: "Careful! On your right!"
ESPIO: "Left, right- everywhere! They have us surrounded."
XENOLITH: "As if!"
He teleported to a Badnik, caving its metal shell in before jumping to the next one and doing the same.
SONIC: "Meh, Xenolith's right. We've handled more than this before. Just gotta get into the swing of things!"
ESPIO: "Roger that!"
Espio tossed a rope to Sonic, which the blue hedgehog caught. Espio then swung Sonic around wildly, taking out any and all Badniks around them.
XENOLITH: "Nice one, guys!"
He leaps off another Badnik, Spin Dashing into another before throwing a Chaos Spear at another.
SONIC: "You as well! So, Espio, have you and the Chaotix tracked down Eggman yet?"
ESPIO: "We— hold on, incoming."
Sonic dashed forward, takin out more Badniks while Espio drop-kicked one. Xenolith teleports to one behind Espio.
ESPIO: "Thanks."
XENOLITH: "No problem."
They looked around as Flickies flew out of the wrecked Badniks.
