Nanami returned to the room with his usual composure, as if nothing had occurred. Without a hint of hesitation or a word spoken, he handed you the neatly folded clothes, his gaze steady and unbothered, as though this was simply another task to be done..

How the hell is he acting so normal? Like he didn't just

"The innkeeper gave these to me. She said they should fit," Nanami said, his tone as measured as ever; interrupting your thoughts in the process.

You murmured your thanks, but before you could even think to ask, he turned on his heel and exited the room, granting you the privacy.

And there it was again—your heart, swooning like it had its own romantic subplot.

[Me personally, I woulda let him stay🤭]

After quickly changing, you went to the door and called out, "I'm done."

He reappeared almost instantly, clearing his throat. You wandered to the open window, your breath catching at the view. The rain had stopped, leaving behind a spectacular rainbow arching across the sky, framed by the soft hues of a setting sun. It was as if nature itself had decided to flex.

"How long was I... out?" you asked, tearing your eyes away from the scene to glance at him.

Nanami met your gaze, his expression unreadable. "Most of the day. You were in and out of consciousness."

"Damn," you muttered, turning back to the window. The air smelled of rain and earth, fresh and cleansing, like the world had hit the refresh button.

You finally broke the silence. ''What is going on with me?''

Nanami sat across from you, his usual stoic demeanor softened by concern. His words, when they came, were measured and deliberate, as always.

"It seems that when Mahito interfered with your soul, he unintentionally triggered something dormant in your genetic code," he began, adjusting his glasses. "From what I can gather, your body had been rejecting its omega traits for some time—like a dam holding everything back. Whatever Mahito did... he broke that dam."

You blinked, trying to wrap your head around the explanation.

"So, all of this—the heat, the pheromones, the... everything—is because of Mahito?" you asked, your voice a mix of disbelief and irritation.

Nanami nodded, his gaze steady. "In a sense, yes. Your pheromones are not only stronger and less controlled, but your cursed energy is, too. It's as if the suppression of your omega traits was holding back more than just your secondary gender. Now, with the block removed, everything is surfacing at once."
