The meeting room was somewhat dull before due to Ping's actions, but when Sailub spoke, the atmosphere immediately became lively.
"Sai, are you going all out?" Liz smiled at the three members of the
band. "Don't be polite with your Teacher Sai, think of someone challenging, don't waste his good connections."
"Really?" Topten became interested. "We can invite anyone?"
"Anyone you want," Sailub chuckled. "Why don't you discuss it among yourselves?"
Topten turned his head, starting to discuss potential candidates with Sammy.
However, Thanapon didn't participate in the discussion, seeming uninterested in the topic.
Sailub lowered his voice slightly and asked Thanapon, "Do you have someone in mind to invite?"
Thanapon looked up at him. "No."
"Don't you have many favorite bands? There must be someone you'd like to collaborate with."
"Pon likes foreign bands," Topten interjected. "Teacher Sai, can you even invite foreigners?"
"Foreign ones, huh..." Sailub pondered for a moment. "Isn't there something called the "Six Degrees of Separation theory? If we really want to Invite someone, with some effort, there should be a chance, right?"
*the idea that all people are six or fewer social connections away from each other."
"Aiyou," Liz teased, "Sai, talking about making an effort, aren't you reaching for the stars to provide for the moon?"
"What about me? What about me?" Topten joined in, eager to participate. "Teacher Sai, can I also invite someone if I have someone in mind?"
"You..." Sailub chuckled. "How about restricting it to Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan?"
"Why is it that when it's my turn, I can't invite foreigners?" Topten protested. "Teacher Sai, aren't you showing double standards!"
Liz and Sammy burst into laughter.
Thanapon glanced at him. "Any objections?"
Topten muttered, "How would I dare..."
"Just kidding," Sailub chuckled. "You three discuss it. Whoever you want to invite, I'll try my best to arrange it."
At that moment, Liz's phone buzzed. She glanced at it and then said to Sailub, "Sai, the cellist introduced by Teacher Dean is here. Should we go meet him?"
"Okay," Sailub replied, standing up.
He looked at Thanapon. "I have a meeting scheduled for tonight, so I'll leave this conference room to you for discussion. Let me know the outcome, and I'll arrange the meeting for you."
"How long will you be gone?" Thanapon asked as he looked at him.
"It's uncertain," Sailub replied. "Once you're done with your discussion just message me."
Thanapon nodded in acknowledgment.
The appointment for tonight was scheduled a month ago, and as Sailub walked out of the conference room, he couldn't help but think that he shouldn't have chosen today for the meeting.
Realizing he had such thoughts surprised even himself.
The idea of not wanting to work because of love was simply... not like Sailub at all.
He was invited by a cellist and his agent mother, who were interested in developing their careers in Thailand.
Since Sailub had transitioned from a cello major to the pop music industry, they wanted him to help create an album that blended classical and pop music, more suitable for the current music market.
