Sailub’s eyelid twitched slightly. Originally, he had wanted to act as if that kiss hadn’t happened, but Thanapon’s words directly disrupted his rhythm.“It’s not that serious,” he smiled, pretending to be casual. “I didn’t take it seriously at all, Thanapon. You don’t need to worry too much about it. Sometimes, when people are in a certain atmosphere, they may act impulsively.”
“What if I take it seriously?” Thanapon looked at him. “I wasn’t impulsive, I was quite serious.”
He had his own set of rhythms, full of aggressiveness, almost intimidating.
Sailub was momentarily at a loss for words, quietly considering how to respond.
“Forget it,” before he could speak, Thanapon lowered his gaze. “I know I’m just a troublemaker who can’t be taken seriously. If my actions last night bothered you, rest assured, I won’t do it again next time, and you don’t have to deliberately avoid me.”
His lowered gaze looked a bit dejected, and Sailub immediately felt a bit soft-hearted.
He was most worried that his refusal would unintentionally hurt Thanapon.
With a sigh, he said, “Thanapon, don’t say such things. I never thought of you as an unapproachable troublemaker…”
“So you’re allowing me to do it again next time?”
Before he could finish his sentence, Thanapon interrupted him with this.
This time, Sailub was thoroughly stunned.
After two seconds, he couldn’t help but laugh, shaking his head. “Thanapon…”
Where did he learn this tactic of using retreat as an advance?
He was simply unable to deal with Thanapon
After laughing, he helplessly said, “Come inside and talk.”
Inside, Sailub gestured towards the sofa. “Sit, I’ll pour you something to drink.”
Thanapon sat on the sofa and noticed that Sailub’s home had a few more plush items compared to last time—a plush rocking chair and a plush teddy bear.
Sailub came over with two glasses of chilled orange juice, handing one to Thanapon and holding the other in his hand.
“How did the talk with KQ go?”
Taking the orange juice, Thanapon looked at Sailub sitting on the single sofa next to him.
Sailub seemed to have just taken a shower, his hair still damp and jet black, which contrasted with his particularly fair skin.
The scent of osmanthus and wood mixed with moisture, creating a damp yet refreshing atmosphere.
He could feel his pulse pounding forcefully with each beat of his heart, and that desire to reach out and touch Sailub’s hair arose again.
“Why are you silent?” Sailub picked up the orange juice and took a sip. “Do you still think the conditions are too harsh?”
“No,” the coolness of the orange juice transferred to his hand, Thanapon lightly wiped away the water droplets on the rim of the cup with his fingertips, “I think the conditions are too good.”
Sailub didn’t understand. “Hmm?”
“It’s so good that I feel it might be a trap.”
Sailub chuckled. “You don’t have to worry about that. Bright and I have been cooperating for many years, and KQ’s reputation in the industry is also well-known. If you have any concerns, you can let them draft the contract first, and then I’ll help you negotiate.”
