Elizabeth Medows was a young Scottish girl who moved to America when she was ten years old, and was 19 when she was killed in a car crash. 

When she woke up she didn't expect to be reborn as the twin of Elena Gilbert. 

And what she really didn't expect was that when she was reborn she didn't expect to be a new kind of doppelganger, but not just that but a reborn doppelganger as well. 

Meaning as she grew up in this new life she continuously got flashbacks from past "lives" that her other doppelgangers lived through. Always the twin of the Petrova doppelganger's. Always a witch. And always a werewolf. 

Elizabeth, the original doppelganger, was the twin of Amara and best friend of Qetsiyah- Tessa. She was killed by Silas in a fit of rage when Tessa had "killed" Amara, knowing only her death would make the woman feel anywhere near as close to anger as he had. 

Elizabeth 'Libby', from the time during the unknown doppelganger. But also the time of Camelot, she was known as Emrys by most people during that time, and her sister was named Merlyn. So while her sister got the Fame in the stories, while also being turned into a man, she's the one who had the actual adventures as she watched her best friend Arthur fall in love with her best friend, Gwen, and also held him as he died in her arms. 

Elizabeth 'Beth', from the time of the one and only Mikaelson's. When Elijah had killed her twin sister by accident, Beth found herself on the other end of the teeth of the younger brother, Kol. 

Elizabeth 'Buffy' Petrova, or Mary Stuart as history knew her. After her sister was kicked out of her village she spent years trying to find her. And when she came home one night to find her whole family dead Elizabeth ran away herself. And when she found a dying Mary Stuart, who was on her way to France to be married to the one and only Francis, the prince, she held the woman, using her magic to read her mind as the woman slowly died. And once the Queen had passed, Elizabeth quickly took her place, knowing it was the best thing for her at the time. 

And now, Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Gilbert. 

Elizabeth spent years trying to sort out a time line between the memories she was gaining. Years trying to put together the mystery that was her. 

But the moment that plot started and people from "her past" started showing up she knew it wouldn't be much longer until she would finally "remember". She only hoped that the memory flow wouldn't get in the way of her trying to save everyone around her. 

She felt death once, and remembered it four other times, she didn't need to go through it again because she was distracted.
