The scene opens up in Thordak's lair, but Thordak could be heard speaking about the attack on him and his unborn hatchlings, but he was more concerned about his hatchlings before he dipped his talons into pouring hot lava before he poured it on one of his eggs, keeping it warm and strong for the baby inside it.

Thordak: The gall. in my lair. No, it's alright. They cannot hurt you. I will not let them. Yes.

Raishan: Vox Machina has proven more elusive than I expected. but I will discover their location. I assure you.

Thordak: I seek bloodshed, not assurance!

Vorugal: If she cannot find them, I can.

Raishan: No. You need a bloodhound for this, not a bulldog.

Thordak: Why so insistent? Are you withholding something?

Raishan: You are the one withholding my cure.

Thordak: Be grateful I allow your treacherous lungs to draw breath.

Raishan: That stone in your chest makes you paranoid.

Thordak looks back at her and growls before he jumps towards her, pinning her beneath his foot. Thordak then roars in anger as flames shoot out of the scales on his throat along with the soul anchor glowing brightly.

Thordak: YOU DARE MOCK MY POWER!?! Vorugal, send word across the kingdoms. Anyone who delivers Vox Machina will get Raishan's share of our empire. And if you value your pathetic life. You'd best find them first. I give you two days. Leave me to my family.

Thordak then lets her go before walking towards his unborn hatchlings while Raishan catches her breath. Raishan then flies upwards to "search" for the group while Vorugal flies out to spread the word that Thordak instructed.

Thordak: Soon, my children, very soon, the corpses of our enemies shall be your cradles and their eternal agony your milk.

Scene shifts to Whitestone where a bird lands on the Suntree before it poops on Percy's shoulder. Percy then pulls out a handkerchief and wipes it off the shoulder of his coat.

Grog: *chuckles* Bull's eyes.

Percy: That's quite the omen.

Vex: Actually, it's supposed to mean good luck, especially in romance.

Percy: Then I should've put a bird's nest in my bedroom years ago.

They all share a laugh before Grog realizes what that means and gets weirded out.

Grog: That's fucking weird.

Vax: Percy's nesting habits aside, the Plate of the Dawnmatyr is apparently in Hell.

Keyleth: Are we seriously considering going?

Yamikumo: I don't like it either, but if we're gonna kill Thordak we need that plate to do it.
