Book 3: Frigid Doom

3rd POV

as She stepped towards the edge of the floating frozen wasteland beneath her, Allura couldn't help but remember that time her and Kima first met, years ago. that was the first time she had ever felt love swell in her heart.

Allura frowned to herself, her partner lost in the frozen wilderness. Percy walked towards her and puts his hand on her shoulder comfortingly.

Allura: Kima.. Where are you?

Somewhere, deep in the terrain of the tundra, Kima was heard groaning as she pulls herself up onto the ledge, panting heavily as she stood onto her feet. But a growl quickly catches her attention as she looked back to see Vorugal flying towards her.

Kima: Shit! 

She immediately starts running away as the dragon quickly blasts Ice at her.

Percy would be looking through the Bad news' scope, getting a better look at the frozen terrain below the mountain, but he still could not find any sign of Kima. Allura walked over towards the two.

Allura: Anything?

Vex: Vorugal is still down there, I can sense it. 

Allura: Then what are we waiting for? 

Vex: We can't just charge in against a dragon without a plan.

Allura: The plan is: I find Kima and rip that fucking monster apart. 

Percy: While that strategy has some merit, we lack the numbers for a dragon assault. 

Vex: And we're out of time. In an hour, we have to reopen the gateway for our friends. 

Allura: Why this sudden prudence? Would you wait if Vex'ahlia was in danger? Would you stand by if Percival's life hung in the balance? 

Vex: That's completely...*stammers* Percy and I aren't--

Allura: You aren't what? 

Percy: We're not together.

Vex's eyes widened as she turned to look to him.

Allura: You could have fooled me.

Percy: Still, you make a fair point. We've always rushed into danger for each other. It would be hypocritical not to in this case.

Allura: Thank you.

She turns around and walks away, leaving the two alone.

Vex: This is what I meant. Getting involved causes all sorts of complications.

Percy: But we're not involved, are we? 

Vex: What? N-No. 

Percy: Then it's not complicated. 

He walked after Allura, leaving Vex surprised by his words and hesitated for a moment before following after the others.

Percy: I wonder how the others are faring.

Vex: I daresay better than us.

                                                                         ...Meanwhile

Scanlan screamed at the top of his lungs as he and others were running through the city of Despath while the giant Devil guard Yenk chased after them, firing his concentrated laser from his horns.
