Pon chuckled as he finally saw Boss, Boss was wearing a white t-shirt and a denim navy blue jacket, Pon got up holding his phone wearing his small bag with his essential inside.
"How are you? you've become skinnier huh Ai'Pon!" Boss suddenly spoke up as Pon rolled his eyes and smiled as he finally stretched his body.
"i'm fine, how about you? you look.. ugly as ever still." Pon joked as Boss laughed and rolled his eyes as well at Pon's ridiculous statement about him.
"let's go play and eat, c'mon!" Boss said as he took Pon's delicate arm and then they ran to a restaurant where they ate and talked about life after high-school.
Pon felt a surge of excitement as he and Boss entered the arcade. The neon lights flickered and the sounds of digital games filled the air, a stark contrast to the unease he felt deep down.
Despite his reservations, he couldn't help but smile as he followed Boss to the first game booth.
"Come on, Pon! Let's see if you can beat me at this," Boss called out with a grin, his tone light and carefree.
Boss had always been a confident, charismatic guy, but something about the way he kept pushing Pon to play felt different today.
Pon tried to ignore the nagging feeling in his gut as they took turns at the claw machine, the racing games, and the shooting booths.
He couldn't help but laugh at how Boss got overly competitive, teasing him after every round. It felt normal for a moment, and Pon tried to convince himself that maybe he was just being paranoid.
But something was off. Boss's glances were lingering a little too long, his touches more frequent.
A tap on the shoulder turned into a lingering hand resting there, an arm around the waist that felt just a bit too possessive. Pon felt the tension building, but he didn't want to seem rude, especially not in front of Boss.
"Hey, Pon," Boss said, his voice softer now, his playful tone replaced by something less innocent.
"You wanna get away from this noisy place? I know a quieter spot, somewhere we can hang out in peace. Just you and me."
Pon hesitated, his nerves flaring. His mind raced, unsure of what to do. He had never felt this uneasy around Boss before. The old friend he knew seemed to be slipping away, replaced by something darker.
"I-I don't know..." Pon stammered, glancing around nervously.
His instincts screamed at him to leave, to get away from this situation, but he didn't know how to say no without making things awkward.
"Come on, don't be shy. It'll be fun. I just want to spend more time with you," Boss pressed.
His smile never faltering, but there was a gleam in his eyes that made Pon's heart race.
Eventually, the pressure won, and Pon reluctantly agreed. It wasn't like Boss was a stranger, and maybe he was just overthinking it.
After all, they'd been friends for a long time. Maybe he was just being paranoid.
--
Pon felt a rising sense of discomfort as they stepped into the hotel lobby, the soft hum of the elevators adding to the growing tension in the air.
Boss was leading the way, his back to Pon, chatting casually as they made their way to the elevator.
"Here we are," Boss said once they reached the top floor, his hand brushing against Pon's arm as he pushed open the door to the hotel room.
