The sun hadn't fully risen when Sailub arrived at his office, the towering glass building reflecting the first light of dawn.
The city buzzed with early-morning energy, but Sailub's mind was already buried under the weight of the day ahead.
His calendar was packed: meetings with clients, overseeing the construction of a new building, finalizing contracts, and ensuring every department met its deadlines.
As he stepped into the sleek, modern lobby, his assistant greeted him with a stack of documents.
"Khun Sailub, your 9 a.m. meeting with the board has been moved up to 8:30," the assistant informed him, walking briskly by his side.
"Also, the contractors for the new building need your approval on the latest designs."
Sailub nodded, barely breaking the stride as they reached the elevator.
Once inside, he skimmed through the files, mentally preparing for what lay ahead. His focus was sharp, his demeanor cool and composed a man in control.
The boardroom buzzed with discussion as Sailub walked in, silencing the room with his presence.
He delivered his presentation with precision, addressing every concern and question with confidence.
"Gentlemen, this project is not just another venture it's a statement. We're redefining the skyline and setting a new standard," Sailub concluded, earning nods of approval.
The meeting wrapped up smoothly, but there was no time to celebrate. Sailub's phone buzzed with messages and reminders.
He moved swiftly from one task to another signing papers, negotiating contracts, and making quick yet crucial decisions.
By noon, Sailub found himself standing at the site of the new building.
The skeletal framework stretched high into the sky, a testament to his vision and drive. He discussed timelines with the contractors, made adjustments to the plans, and ensured every detail met his standards.
Back at the office, Sailub tackled a mountain of paperwork. The phone on his desk rang incessantly, each call demanding his attention.
He managed negotiations with overseas partners, reassured nervous investors, and even handled a minor PR crisis all without breaking a sweat.
His assistant popped in, handing him a fresh cup of coffee. "Khun Sailub, there's a conference call in five minutes with the legal team."
Sailub nodded, taking a deep breath. The day was relentless, but he thrived under pressure.
It was nearly 6 p.m. when Sailub finally sat back in his chair, exhaustion creeping in. He closed his eyes for a moment, allowing himself a brief respite.
He was tired from all the chaos inside the office, it was a chaos he finally missed and the chaos that stressed him after all the chaos from Pon going missing the other day.
Everything just to make him one of the most successful and richest businessmen ever in Thailand probably he hopes in the entire industry of business.
Then, his phone buzzed. The name on the screen made him sit up instantly: Pon, he finally had a smile on his face.
He felt all his stress and tiredness washing away when he saw the Caller ID, he quickly answered the phone, waiting for Pon to Speak up.
"Sailub.. sorry to bother you but.. i.. I-I'm not feeling well," Pon's voice was faint, laced with discomfort.
Sailub's heart clenched. "What's wrong, my love? Are you in pain? where does it hurt? hm?"
"My head hurts... and I feel really weak, I keep throwing up earlier as well.." Pon whispered, his voice trembling.
Sailub didn't need to hear more. "I'm coming home. Stay in bed, okay? Don't move. I'll be there soon."
Without another word, Sailub grabbed his jacket and rushed out of the office, instructing his assistant to reschedule the remaining tasks. His usual calm demeanor was replaced by urgency.
The moment Sailub stepped through the front door, he found Pon curled up on the couch, wrapped in a blanket.
His cheeks were flushed, and his breathing was shallow. Sailub's chest tightened at the sight.
"Pon, baby, I'm here," Sailub said softly, kneeling beside him.
Pon opened his eyes, relief washing over his face. "Sailub.. I missed you.."
Sailub pressed a hand to Pon's forehead. "You're burning up. Let's get you to bed." Gently, he lifted Pon into his arms, carrying him upstairs to their bedroom.
He laid Pon down carefully, adjusting the pillows and covering him with a warm blanket. "I'll get some medicine and water. Stay here."
Within minutes, Sailub returned with everything Pon needed. He helped Pon sit up.
Coaxing him to take the medicine and sip some water. Pon winced but complied, leaning heavily against Sailub.
"Thank you.. for everything.." Pon whispered, his voice hoarse.
Sailub brushed Pon's hair back, placing a tender kiss on his forehead. "You don't have to thank me. I'll always take care of you."
Sailub stayed by Pon's side the entire night, keeping a cool cloth on his forehead and monitoring his temperature.
He refused to leave, watching over Pon with unwavering dedication.
As the hours passed, Pon's fever began to subside. He stirred in his sleep, reaching out for Sailub, who immediately took his hand.
"I'm here, my love," Sailub reassured him. "Rest now. I've got you."
And for the first time in a long while, Pon felt completely safe, wrapped in Sailub's love and care.
