The office building of Sailub's company was sleek, modern, and full of busy workers hustling through their day.
The quiet hum of conversations and the click of keyboards was a constant backdrop to the large, glass walled spaces that overlooked the city. But today, the usual calm atmosphere was shattered.
Sailub's footsteps echoed through the hallway as he strode toward Boss's office. He had received the call from his friend.
The one who had been keeping an eye on Pon, and the weight of what he had just learned had consumed him.
His thoughts were a blur of anger and anxiety. Pon. His husband. His life. Had been hurt. And for that, Boss was going to pay.
When Sailub reached the office door, he didn't bother knocking. He slammed it open, the sound of the door crashing against the wall reverberating throughout the otherwise quiet building.
Boss was sitting behind his desk, looking as smug and arrogant as ever, completely unaware of the storm about to hit him.
"Boss," Sailub's voice was like ice, cold and unforgiving. "We need to talk."
Boss's eyes flicked up, surprise flashing across his face for just a moment before he quickly masked it with a grin. "Khun.. what's the matter? You look like you've seen a ghost."
"I'm not here to joke around," Sailub's voice dropped low, his words laced with venom. He stepped into the office, closing the door behind him with a decisive click. "What the hell did you do to Pon?"
Boss leaned back in his chair, his smirk widening. "Pon? Oh, he's fine, Khun. Don't worry about him. We had a little... fun, that's all."
Sailub's blood boiled. He felt his fists clench at his sides, his knuckles white from the pressure. T
he idea that Boss had touched his husband, even in the most innocent sense, made his stomach twist with rage. But the way Boss spoke so casually with confidence and pride as if it was nothing was enough to set Sailub off completely.
Without warning, Sailub lunged forward, grabbing Boss by the collar of his shirt and yanking him out of his chair. Boss gasped, his eyes widening in shock. "Sailub.. what the hell?"
Sailub slammed Boss against the desk with such force that the papers scattered across the surface, fluttering like leaves in a storm.
"Don't you ever think about Pon like that again," Sailub hissed through gritted teeth. "You don't get to touch him. You don't get to lay a finger on him, understand?"
Boss, rattled and trying to regain his composure, sputtered, "You're overreacting, Sailub. It was just a harmless drink-"
"A harmless drink?" Sailub cut him off, his voice rising in fury.
He slammed Boss against the desk once more, the anger in his chest threatening to explode.
"You drugged him, didn't you? You thought you could get away with it. You thought you could take advantage of him because he's too trusting, too kind. But you were wrong."
Boss's face turned pale. Sailub's grip on his shirt tightened, the fabric threatening to tear from the pressure. Boss stammered, "N-no, I didn't-"
"You tried," Sailub spat. "And that's enough. You've crossed a line, and you're going to regret it."
The room seemed to close in around them, the weight of Sailub's fury filling every corner.
He leaned in closer, his face inches from Boss's, the threat in his voice unmistakable. "I don't care who you think you are. You don't get to touch my husband. You don't get to do anything to him that he doesn't want. And if you even think about trying again, I will make sure you wish you had never been born."
Boss was silent now, his confidence shattering. He could feel the cold fury radiating from Sailub like a tangible force, and for the first time in his life, he realized just how much trouble he had gotten himself into.
Sailub released his grip on Boss's shirt, letting him slump back into the chair, gasping for air.
The tension in the room was thick, palpable. Sailub didn't move from his spot. He stood there for a long moment, letting the silence linger, letting Boss feel the weight of his words. Then, Sailub took a step back, his anger still simmering beneath the surface.
"I'm giving you one chance, Boss," Sailub said, his voice low and dangerous. "One chance to fix this. Stay the hell away from Pon. Stay the hell away from my family. If I hear even a whisper of you doing anything to him again, I will ruin you. I will make sure you regret the day you ever tried to hurt him."
Sailub turned toward the door, his hand resting on the handle. Before he left, he glanced back at Boss, who was still sitting there, stunned and speechless.
"And if I ever catch you trying anything like this again... you won't have the luxury of walking out of this office. Do you understand?"
Boss nodded weakly, fear finally overtaking his arrogance.
Without another word, Sailub left the office, the door slamming shut behind him. His heart was still racing.
But a part of him felt a small sense of relief. Boss had been warned. Now, it was time to find Pon and make sure he was okay.
Pon walked into the building, unaware of the confrontation that had just taken place. He had spent the last few hours calming down.
Trying to shake off the dizzying effects of the drink and the overwhelming emotions that had plagued him ever since Boss had made his move.
The last thing he expected was to find himself in the middle of Sailub's storm.
When he reached Sailub's office, the tension in the air was palpable.
He hesitated for a moment before pushing the door open, his eyes immediately finding Sailub standing by his desk, his expression tense but relieved as soon as he saw Pon.
"Sailub khub..?" Pon's voice was soft, uncertain.
Sailub's gaze softened, and he immediately stepped toward Pon, pulling him into his arms. "Pon, oh my." he murmured, his voice strained with emotion. "I'm so sorry. I should have been here sooner, I should've known where you where.. I'm so sorry.. are you okay?"
Pon's heart twisted in his chest as he hugged Sailub back. "I'm okay, Sailub. It wasn't your fault."
Sailub held him tightly, unwilling to let go. "No. I should have been here. I should have protected you better."
His voice broke slightly, and Pon could feel the sincerity in his words. Sailub was always so strong, but in this moment, he was vulnerable, worried about Pon in a way that made Pon's heart ache.
Pon pulled back slightly, looking up at Sailub with a soft smile. "I'm just glad you're here now."
Sailub nodded, brushing a stray lock of hair from Pon's face. "And I'll always be here, Pon. I'll never let anything happen to you again. I promise."
Pon felt a wave of relief wash over him. It wasn't just the danger that had shaken him it was the thought that Sailub might not care enough to protect him.
But now, hearing Sailub's words, feeling the warmth of his embrace, Pon knew he was safe. And no one would hurt him again.
Sailub gently cupped Pon's face, his thumb brushing over his cheek. "You're mine, Pon. And no one is not Boss, not anyone is going to take that away."
Pon smiled softly, his heart swelling with love for the man who had always been there for him, who had just shown him the depth of his devotion. "I'm yours, Sailub. Always."
As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, the storm outside seemed to settle.
And for the first time since everything had happened, Pon felt at peace. Sailub had fought for him, and he knew no matter what came their way he would always be safe in Sailub's arms.
