6. Love letters and songs [EN]

Don't say I can't love you,
I know I can and will do.
Don't tell me not to care,
Don't you even dare.

I really like you
More than you think I do.
I can love you, baby,
Just promise to hold me, maybe.

I know I can love you forever,
Just don't hurt me, ever.
I'll tell you this,
I'd do anything for your first kiss.

So many love songs,
It all takes so long.
And none compare to you,
None will do justice to my feelings for you.

This isn't a love song, that much I know,
It's a poem, but don't ask me why or how.
I don't have an answer, it just happens.
It's just like writing love letters.

I can write you some love letters,
If that's what makes you like me better.
I'll keep writing poems, I'll even sing a song
If that's what makes you come along.

But all of the above,
Tell the same about love.
They don't talk about you,
They don't know what is or isn't true.

In all of the above,
Love is like a dove.
They come and go,
But stay together though.

They say they could love you,
They talk about your something blue,
They would love you until they have died.
With their eyes closed and hands tied.

Yet in all of the above,
They don't know about love.
Not in the way I do,
Not in the way I could love you.

So I'll write you a love letter,
So everyone understands love better.
So I'll sing you a love song,
So you'll love me all along.
