Ryujin stood at the doorway, her heart pounding violently in her chest as she watched Yeji move around the bedroom, packing her clothes into a suitcase.

Each motion of Yeji's hands seemed like a stab to Ryujin's soul.

She had made a mess of everything, and now she had to face the consequences.

She could hear her breath quicken, her hands trembling as she finally took a step forward, unable to bear the distance between them.

"Yeji..." Ryujin's voice cracked as she spoke her name, but it barely made a sound.

Yeji froze, her back still turned to her, and Ryujin could see the tension in her shoulders, the way she was fighting to keep her composure.

Yeji knew.

Yeji knew everything.

She had caught Ryujin in her betrayal.

The realization of what Ryujin had done sank in deeply, but it wasn't enough. The guilt, the regret, the shame—nothing could undo the damage she had caused.

Ryujin felt a tightness in her throat, a lump forming that she could hardly swallow.

"Please..." Ryujin tried again, her voice softer this time, pleading.

But Yeji didn't turn around.

She kept folding her clothes, her movements precise, almost robotic.

It was as if she was trying to keep control over her emotions—something Ryujin knew was slipping away from her, and there was nothing she could do to stop it.

Ryujin took a step closer, her feet heavy on the floor.

Her gaze dropped to the suitcase on the bed, the clothes Yeji was packing, and the realization hit Ryujin all over again.

Yeji was leaving.

"Yeji," Ryujin breathed, a pit forming in her stomach as she finally stepped up behind her, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Please don't leave. I... I need you, Yeddeong.."

But when Yeji turned, her face was unreadable.

The tears that Ryujin had expected were not there—not yet.

Instead,

Yeji's eyes were empty.

There was nothing left for Ryujin to hold on to.

"You need me?" Yeji asked, her voice soft but edged with disbelief. "You need me after what you've done?"

Ryujin's chest constricted as her heart ached.

"I made a mistake. A huge mistake. Please, I didn't mean for it to happen... I never wanted to hurt you. I never wanted to hurt anyone."

Yeji closed her eyes briefly, as though trying to contain the whirlwind of emotions threatening to break through.

"You did hurt me, Ryujin. You hurt me so much. But you didn't just hurt me..."

"You hurt your friends."

"You hurt your sister."

"You hurt your mother."

"Do you even realize what you've done?" Yeji voice shook as she spoke, her words punctuated by the faintest tremor of anger and sadness.

Ryujin's heart dropped as she looked at Yeji, her own emotions threatening to boil over. She had been selfish. She had been reckless.
