I put the pen down as I stared at the last exam paper for the year. I was finally done with my exams. I could jump out of my chair and do cartwheels right now, but I won't cause there was still more time. I looked at the clock, it was 1 pm. Just 15 more minutes and I'm free. I put my head down on the table and tried to fall asleep but my body was restless, my mind was too excited and impatient. After what had felt like an eternity, the teacher finally said " All right kids, times up. Please be ready to hand over your papers" One by one she collected the paper and when she finally reached the last person, everyone erupted into cheers. The entire building was filled with screams, laughter, and songs. Just like that months of misery were finally over, for this year at least.

Another hectic school year had passed and yet another last day had arrived. Everyone said their goodbyes to each other. It wasn't too emotional since we were meeting next year for another week until we got our results back. After the bell rang I rushed over to meet Sam and Sage. "OMG WE ARE FINALLY DONE!!!"I screamed as I ran into the class. "I KNOW I CAN'T BELIEVE IT" Sage yelled back while Sam was too busy doing her little happy dance. I sat on top of Sage's table and Sam joined me. "I'm guessing you have choir today?" I asked Sage " Yeah but I can drop you two of" "Yay!" Sam and I both said at the same time. "JINX!" I yelled. "You can't speak now and I won't say your name until you finish packing your bag." She groaned and unwillingly went to pack her bag.

After about 100 years later Sam was finally done. " Ok now we can go get my bag," I said. We headed in the direction of my class, by this time the hallway was fully empty, people were either getting dressed or had already gone home. We entered my class and i quickly packed my bag. I then realised that I wouldn't see Dahlia, since she was probably done with her duty. I might not see her again until next year. Ouch that hurt. " Let's go, we don't want to be late" Sam whined. "Says the one who took forever to pack her bag" Sage remarked. With my racing with thoughts about how I wouldn't see Dahlia for the rest of the year, I opened the door to so we could leave. Right outside the door was Dahlia, giving me one of her adorable smiles. I just stared at her for a minute trying to comprehend the fact that, she actually took time out of her day to come see me. I jumped into her arms to hug her. She placed her hand around my waist, picked me up and twirled me in the air. I felt like I was in heaven, my heart was racing faster than the speed of light. I was so happy that I felt like I was going to burst. She finally put me down and hugged me. Her arms wrapping around my waist.  My friends looked at me knowing and said " We're gonna head downstairs, you two take your time" and then they ran off.  Dahlia pulled away and looked at me, her eyes sparkling. "What are you doing here, shouldn't you be going home?" "luckily I have a prefect meeting today, so I thought I'd come by to see you" "Aww thank you, how were your exams" "It wasn't terrible but it wasn't amazing either. Yours?" "Let's just say I'm very glad its over" Dahlia laughed "That bad?" I just looked at her with a look that said 'you don't wanna know' "We should probably go, I don't want you getting late." With that she grabbed my hand and started walking towards the stairs.  My brain was still trying to process, what was going on. I mean the surprising me and the hug, it all just seems like something that would happen in a dream. I pinched myself to make sure that it wasn't.  I didn't wake I up, which means this all really just happened. Dahlia actually just spun me around in the air. This was officially the best day ever!
