Chapter 2

~Raven P.O.V~

I got to my English class and looked at the seating plan. I was sat on the second to last row on the right side of the class room. I walked to my seat and got the stuff i needed out my bag.

More and More students filled the room and someone sat next to me. Looking up I saw Alex and smiled at him. "Hey Alex" I smiled. He smiled back "Hey Ray" he said smiling back at me.

He got all his equiptment out and placed it in the table. "So....is it on Friday's now?" he asked "yup" I nodded.

I then heared someone pull out a chair from the table behind me. I turned in my chair to see who was there. 'Michael' I though. He placed his stuff on the table and looked up at me. "can I help you?" he asked with his usual pokerface. I turned back around and shook my head "s-sorry" I replied quietly.

Looking down at my desk I felt someones hand push my head down into the table really hard. "Shit" I mumbled and Pulled my head up to see who did it.

Looking to where the sniggering was coming from I saw Nick. Sighing I put my Rucksack back onto the table and got a small mirror out of it. I looked in it to see if I had any markings. My forehead went a slight pink colour but was hardly noticable.

"Crap! are you ok?" Alex whispered "y-yeah..." I said covering my forehead with my fringe. The teacher;  Mr.Kale walked in. He cleared his throat "Hello class. Im Mr. Kale, some of you may know me as you might of had me in previous years" He announced.

Alex and I sighed and wrote our names on the books on the desks. "This is gonna be soo boring" Alex conplained. I nodded in agreement. "Right class. What's going to happen this term is that we are studying one of Shakespears works...does anyone have one they want to learn about?" He asked looking around the room.

A few hands shot up. "Miss Evans?" He asked smiling. "Can we do Romeo and Juliet?" she sqwealed "Great choice Miss Evans" Mr.Kale said and got a stack of papers and placed two on each desk. I looked at the sheets to see that its the script. It was in Shakespearean Writing  on one half of the page  and the other in modern day. 'Oh Great' I thought sarcasticly and rolled my eyes.

"I would like you to study the script and write down a few lines from the script o tell me what the characters emotions are. afterwards I will put you into either groups or pairs for the next assignment." he said and then got a powerpoint up.

I started reading the script and Alex humbed a song. Subconsciously I sang quietly along with it. Luckily the class was quite loud so I got away with it, But for some strange reason it felt like someone - thats not me or Alex- listening. I ignored the feeling and finished the song with Alex.

"Its sooo easy" I said to Alex as we finished the assignment "Yeah..Im suprised they're not finished yet" He said pushing his paper to the side of the desk.

A while later everyone finished and Mr.Kale put a random generator on the whiteboard. Our names were already on the board and the settings said 2-5 people in the group number area. he clicked the mouse and 3 names where on the board "Nick, Lily and Jake. you are group one" he said.

After getting a few groups out the way I heard my Name "group 7 is Raven and.." he clicked the mouse again for my partner. 'Please be Alex, Please be Alex, please be Alex' I thought. The name apeared "Michael" said the teacher. 'Oh fuck' I thought getting shy.

He then finished all the groups and Turned to the class. "The number I gave your groups are in the script. Find your number and then practice this part with your partner. This will also be homework for you. Make a good drama production using the part you have been given to use. Enjoy" he smiled and looked at the time. "Any questions?" He asks "Yes Miss Guilbert?" He asks "do we use props?" she  asks. "you can if you want to, but you dont have to." he said. A few more questions were answered and then the bell went. "Right class. Have a good first day" He said dismissing us.

Second Period passed as I thought about what part I had to do with Michael. Because being the idiot I am I didnt check and just shoved it in my bag.
