The Kim household had transformed in the past three months. Dino, now a thriving three-month-old, had become the center of Mingyu and Jeonghan’s world. Every corner of their home bore signs of their little miracle—plush toys, baby blankets, and bottles scattered around the living room. The once quiet house now echoed with soft coos, giggles, and the occasional cries that came with raising a newborn.
Jeonghan was curled up on the couch, Dino nestled against his chest in a baby carrier. His once impeccable outfits had been replaced by oversized shirts and comfortable sweatpants, while Mingyu—wearing an apron—stood in the kitchen attempting to chop vegetables one-handed, with a baby monitor in the other.
"You sure you don’t need help?" Jeonghan called out, watching as Mingyu fumbled.
"I’ve got this," Mingyu said, though his face was smeared with flour, evidence of his earlier attempt at making Dino-friendly baby snacks for later months.

The Arrival of Grandparents
A sudden knock on the door interrupted their routine. Mingyu froze, the knife slipping from his hand. "They’re here," he said, turning to Jeonghan with wide eyes.
Jeonghan’s heart raced as he gently eased Dino out of the carrier and placed him in his crib. Straightening his hair and wiping spit-up off his shirt, he whispered, "Do I look okay?"
Mingyu walked over, kissing his forehead. "You’re perfect."
Opening the door, they were greeted by Seokjin and Taehyung, who had just returned from an extended trip abroad. The elder Kims looked impeccable as always, but their eyes softened immediately upon seeing the new parents.
"Where’s my grandson?" Taehyung asked, stepping inside without waiting for an invitation.
Seokjin smiled warmly, pulling Mingyu into a brief hug before turning to Jeonghan. "You look tired but happy," he said, his voice kind.
Jeonghan flushed. "It’s been a learning curve," he admitted.

Meeting Dino
Taehyung practically sprinted to the crib, his hands flying to his mouth as he saw Dino for the first time. "He’s perfect," he whispered, tears glistening in his eyes. "He looks just like you, Mingyu, but with Jeonghan’s softness."
Seokjin joined him, his demeanor quieter but no less emotional. He bent down to look at Dino, his face lighting up as the baby’s eyes fluttered open.
"He’s awake," Seokjin said softly.
Jeonghan picked up Dino carefully, cradling him against his chest. "Dino, these are your grandparents," he said gently, kissing the top of his baby’s head.
Mingyu took Dino next, holding him up so his parents could get a closer look. Dino, ever the curious baby, stared at Taehyung and Seokjin with wide eyes before letting out a soft gurgle.
Taehyung laughed, his hands reaching out to stroke Dino’s tiny hand. "He’s got your charm, Jeonghan," he teased, grinning.
"And Mingyu’s appetite for sure," Jeonghan replied, eliciting a chuckle from everyone.

Adjustments and Lessons
As the day went on, the elder Kims stayed to help. Taehyung taught Jeonghan some of the family’s traditional baby food recipes, while Seokjin helped Mingyu reorganize the baby supplies.
"You’ve been doing great," Seokjin said as he watched Mingyu struggle to fold a baby onesie. "I’m proud of you."
Mingyu looked up, startled by the rare compliment. "Thanks, Appa," he said, his voice filled with gratitude. "It’s been… challenging, but Jeonghan and I are figuring it out together."
Jeonghan, meanwhile, found himself unexpectedly comforted by Taehyung’s warmth. Despite their initial awkwardness, Taehyung had quickly embraced him as family.
"You’re doing an incredible job," Taehyung said as he watched Jeonghan prepare Dino’s bottle. "I can see how much you love him. Dino is lucky to have you as his omega."
Jeonghan smiled, his heart swelling with pride. "Thank you. It means a lot to hear that."

An Evening of Connection
As night fell, the family gathered in the living room. Dino was fast asleep in Taehyung’s arms, his tiny face peaceful. Jeonghan and Mingyu sat side by side, their hands intertwined as they watched their son being doted on.
"This is what life is about," Seokjin said, his arm around Taehyung. "Family. Love. These moments."
Jeonghan leaned into Mingyu, his exhaustion momentarily forgotten as warmth filled his heart. Despite the sleepless nights, the messy house, and the constant worry, they had created something beautiful.
And for the first time in a long while, Jeonghan felt truly at peace.
