The Syndicate’s headquarters loomed in the distance, a cold, foreboding fortress that seemed to echo the cruelty of its leader. Jeonghan clutched Mingyu’s hand tightly as they approached, his heart racing with fear and determination. Dino’s face flashed in his mind—his chubby cheeks, his wide, innocent eyes. Jeonghan couldn’t let Kwan take his son.

Mingyu’s jaw was set, his entire body radiating tension. The plan was straightforward: negotiate for Dino’s release and get out before things turned violent. But both of them knew Kwan would never make it easy.

A Dangerous Encounter

Inside, Kwan sat at the head of a grand table, his presence commanding and cruel. He rose with a smirk as they entered, his eyes lingering on Jeonghan with a possessive gleam that made Mingyu’s fists clench.

"Ah, Jeonghan," Kwan drawled, spreading his arms wide. "It’s been too long. And you brought your alpha. How… quaint."

Jeonghan stepped forward, his voice steady despite the tremor in his chest. "Where is Dino?"

Kwan’s smirk deepened as he gestured to a bassinet in the corner. Dino lay inside, squirming and fussing. Jeonghan’s heart leapt at the sight of his son, but before he could move, Kwan raised a hand.

"Not so fast," he said coldly. "Did you really think you could walk in here and take what belongs to me?"

Jeonghan’s breath hitched, and Mingyu stepped in front of him protectively. "Dino is our son," Mingyu growled. "You have no claim to him—or to Jeonghan."

Kwan laughed, a chilling sound that echoed through the room. "You’re mistaken. Jeonghan has always been mine. And if I can’t have him…" His eyes darkened as he glanced at Dino. "Neither will you."

The Fight Begins

At Kwan’s signal, his men surged forward. Mingyu fought fiercely, his strength and agility allowing him to overpower several attackers at once. But they kept coming, their numbers overwhelming him. Jeonghan tried to reach Dino, but Kwan grabbed him by the wrist, pulling him back.

"Let me go!" Jeonghan screamed, struggling against Kwan’s iron grip.

"Why would I?" Kwan sneered, dragging him closer. "You belong to me, Jeonghan. You always have."

Mingyu roared in rage, but he was pinned down by Kwan’s guards. Jeonghan watched helplessly as the alpha fought with everything he had, blood streaming from a cut above his eye.

And then it happened.

Dino’s First Word

"Dada!"

The tiny, desperate cry cut through the chaos like a blade. Everyone froze. Mingyu’s eyes widened, his heart stopping at the sound of his son’s voice. Dino had never spoken before—not a single word. But now, in the face of danger, his first word rang out with clarity and purpose.

"Dada!" Dino cried again, his little hands reaching out toward Mingyu.

Something inside Mingyu snapped. A surge of primal strength and determination overtook him. With a roar, he threw off the men restraining him, his movements fueled by a desperate need to protect his family.

Jeonghan gasped as Mingyu broke free, his blows precise and devastating as he took down Kwan’s guards one by one. The Syndicate men faltered, fear flashing in their eyes as Mingyu advanced like an unstoppable force.

Rescue and Retribution

Kwan snarled, pulling Jeonghan closer as a shield. "Stay back, or I’ll—"

But Mingyu didn’t hesitate. With a swift, calculated move, he disarmed Kwan, freeing Jeonghan from his grasp. Jeonghan stumbled back, his arms immediately going around Dino, who was now wailing in the bassinet.

Mingyu stood over Kwan, his chest heaving. "If you ever come near my family again," he growled, his voice deadly, "I’ll destroy everything you’ve built."

Kwan glared up at him, his arrogance faltering under the weight of Mingyu’s fury. "This isn’t over," he spat, but there was fear in his eyes.

"Yes, it is," Jeonghan said, his voice steady. "You’ll never control me again."

Freedom

They left the Syndicate’s lair battered but victorious. Dino clung to Jeonghan, his tiny hands gripping his shirt as if he knew how close they had come to losing everything.

In the safety of their car, Jeonghan broke down, clutching Dino tightly as tears streamed down his face. "He said ‘Dada,’" he whispered, his voice trembling.

Mingyu smiled, his hand resting gently on Dino’s head. "He did," he said softly. "Our little fighter."

As they drove away, leaving the darkness of Kwan’s world behind, Mingyu reached over to take Jeonghan’s hand. "We’re safe now," he said. "He’ll never touch us again."

Jeonghan nodded, his heart swelling with love and relief. For the first time in what felt like forever, they were truly free.
