Chapter Eight
A man came to the New York City Police Department and walked into the squad room. He was holding his phone in his hand and he walked up to James. "Excuse me? Are you detective Harrison?" The man asked. James looks at the man and he says, "yes. What can I help you with?" wondered James as he stood from his chair.
"Um. I heard about my sister Alisha Williams. She was murdered. And I see that you're the one investigating her murder and I was wondering if I could give you something to help you find out who killed her," explained the man.
"Uh, yeah. Sure. I mean my partner and I haven't had any luck finding out who killed her. Are you her brother?" says James.
"I am Alisha's older brother. My name is Josh Sawyer. I heard about my sister's death after my mother told me the news over the phone and I sort of think I know who killed her," says Josh.
James sighed. "Okay. Who do you think murdered your sister?" says James.
"I have a video here on my phone where I saw Sam Williams, Alisha's husband, who was at the scene of my sister's murder. I have it all on video," says Josh.
Josh hands over the phone to James and James grabs Josh's iPhone from him and he looks down at the screen where the video was played.
James noticed Sam was standing in front of Alisha Williams and he was looking down at Alisha while Alisha was on the ground, dead.
"He was just standing there. I couldn't tell who the woman was who was lying on the ground. But this was before my mother told me the news that the woman who was lying on the ground was my sister, Alisha. After Sam had left Alisha lying on the ground, I immediately ran up to Alisha and until I got a better look at her, she was covered in blood. It looked like she was starved to death and..." Josh stops talking for a moment and he starts to tear up. I can't believe I actually caught this on camera. I witnessed a dead body and it was my sister," says Josh.
"And he's wearing black clothing and holding his ski mass in his hand." James says to himself.
"Yeah. Um, so it's got to be Sam Williams who killed her," says Josh.
James felt relieved that he finally found the suspect who murdered Alisha Williams. Sam Williams was the one who killed Alisha, even though he was the one who wiped the fingerprints off the murder weapon.
"Thank you. You'd just helped me find my first suspect of who killed Alisha Williams," says James.
James sighed. Until James hands the video back to Josh and Josh takes the phone from James. "Do you know where Sam is now?" says James, looking at Josh.
"I found him located at 7 eleven gas station on 3rd Avenue," says Josh.
"Thank you so much, Josh. You helped us find our suspect," says James, grabbing his jacket and then telling Ben that he and James are headed to the gas station to arrest Sam Williams.
After arriving at the gas station, James and Ben got out of the car and they'd walked up to Sam where he was pumping gas at the gas pump and James takes out his handcuffs while walking up to Sam and Sam noticed James and Ben walking up to him.
"Sam Williams, put your hands behind your back," says James.
Sam immediately turned around and starting running away from James and Ben and both James and Ben started running after Sam as Sam was trying to not let James arrest him.As James and Ben were continuing to run after Sam, Sam then crossed the street where traffic was being driven down the street and James and Ben also ran across the street. Until Sam had tripped over a rock and he fell on the ground and James and Ben had finally caught up with Sam.
