This one takes place during 'The Immortal Jellyfish', but you'd be able to figure that out when you read it.
Honestly, this one's not that great, but honestly, I think it's about as good as I'm gonna get it.
Content Warning: There is a lot of stuff about periods in this fic. I completely understand if it makes you uncomfortable. It makes me uncomfortable; I think that's partly why it's so bad. Feel free to skip this one if it does.
Here's to (Never)! Growing Up!
Something was wrong.
Angel was sure of that. Although, she couldn't quite figure out what. She didn't feel sick, but she definitely wasn't feeling like herself that day. Her mind felt foggy; she couldn't concentrate on the story she was writing and she felt irritable for no reason.
She was relieved when a call came in for Shellington. She'd been sitting in the lab with him and Tunip, torturing herself with her story, not at all sure she wanted to finish it. The Captain's showing them a baby jellyfish seemed like a good excuse to stop.
"A few minutes ago, he was a grown-up jellyfish" Peso informed them. "He was frightened by a sea turtle and then, something very strange happened."
Shellington gasped, tossing a glass jar (fortunately, Tunip caught it!). "The grown-up jellyfish turned into a baby jellyfish!"
"Yes!" Peso confirmed.
"Jumping immortal jellyfish!" the otter exclaimed. "Don't lose sight of that baby jelly!"
Angel and Tunip could only watch as he started grabbing things off the workbench.
"Right! I'll need my nightcap! I mean, my note cap! I mean, my notebook!"
He tried to run out the door, but tripped over his own feet, spilling his stuff everywhere.
Shellington didn't seem to notice, though. "Tunip! Sound the Octo-Alert!"
The little Vegimal obliged and that familiar whoop filled the Octopod.
"Octonauts, to the jelly bay!"
Angel giggled as she took off after him, struggling to keep up. She wished she had time to grab some chocolate from the kitchen. She was craving chocolate!
Maybe she would have had time, after all. When she and Tunip made it to the launch bay, she discovered that the three of them were the only ones there. Well, Captain Barnacles, Peso and Kwazii were out on the reef, but where was everyone else? Tunip knew what had happened.
"You said jelly bay, not the launch bay", he informed Shellington.
"Oh! Uh... Thanks, Tunip. One more time." He sounded the Octo-Alert a second time.
"Take two!" Angel joked.
This time, Shellington nailed it. "Octonauts, to the launch bay!"
And this time, the Octonauts gathered in the launch bay.
"Captain, this is so exciting!" Shellington proclaimed. "You've found an immortal jellyfish!" He explained that this jellyfish could do something that no other creature could do: change back into a baby and begin its life all over again!
Angel had never heard of anything like this! It sounded amazing! Although, she was kind of jealous as well. She was twelve years old now. Her body was going through a lot of changes and being a teenager was less than a year away. All of a sudden, growing up seemed so scary!
